25.01.2022 Am proud that my first Cupcake Workshop was a success! Thank you to all the lovely ladies that participated today. I was very impressed with the beautiful cupcakes you all made. It was lots of fun. Thank you to my dear friend Nicole, who provided a beautiful afternoon tea. If you are ever in the Parramatta area, pop into her cafe Ground Floor Cafe at 80 George Street. Thank you to my sister in law Kris and wonderful husband Vince, for helping to set up and pack up and all of you who stayed behind to give us a hand. Very much appreciated. Stay tuned...I will be running kids workshops soon and organising various theme-based workshops.

22.01.2022 I am very proud to share the images of my latest cake: A Nikon D5200 camera cake for an 18th birthday. This has probably been one of my most challenging cakes yet as it was tricky getting the dimensions right but I am very happy with the results. The camera body is 100% edible: 1.6 kg of fondant: pure sugar!! and the prints are edible too. All components were hand-crafted/painted. Thank you Sandra for capturing the details on this cake.

Just a reminder that since starting a new job this year, I have needed to be quite selective about the type of jobs I can take on due to time issues. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Lorelei Walsh-Wellness Advocate for DoTERRA pure therapeutic grade essential oils- for supplying me with the lavender oil. I am so impressed with this product. The cake tasted amazing! I was unable to source the lavender in Sydney and Lorelei was so helpful in sending me a sample from Brisbane and providing me with so much valuable information about its uses. After making my son's 1st birthday cake and thinking "Hey I could do this for a living!", I never thought that 7 years on, I'd be where I am. 11.01.2022 In the past month, I've been asked to make several drip cakes for different celebrations. Although it is not my usual style, I attempted my first one for my wonderful dad who celebrated his 69th birthday today!! He loves all things caramel so here is the result. What do you think? Cake: 9" Chocolate mud and caramel mud alternating layers with caramel buttercream and honeycomb frosting. Top: Butterscotch sauce dripping with caramel macarons, crunchie pieces, peanut brittle, ferrero rochers, honeycomb balls, caramel popcorn and chocolate buds. Loved making this cake for my dad: The hardest part was resisting the temptation to eat everything!!

09.01.2022 It is with mixed emotions that I announce that I will no longer be running LZ Cake Designs as a business. Since returning to teaching 2 years ago and my increased involvement in teaching a reading program over the last 12 months as well as my intentions to study next year, time does not allow me to continue running my business as I have done so in the past. I want to thank everyone for their continued support over the last 8 years. I have thoroughly enjoyed creating over 200... cakes and toppers during this time. It has been my ‘happy’ place, my outlet, my creative expression. LZ Cake Designs has evolved from a hobby to a business, but I will be returning to my ‘love’ jobs, so look out for these in the future. I have put together a few of my favourites. Enjoy and once again, thank you!
