21.01.2022 PLEASE CHECK YOUR SMOKE ALARMS! A little known fact is that smoke alarms need to be replaced every 10 years which is something the can be easily overlooked or forgotten about. These are the first line of defence against house fires which can be the difference in surviving a house fire and in some cases can void your house insurance if they have expired. While installing some new Downlights in a clients home I noticed their smoke alarms had some discolouration. Upon inspectio...n 2 had expired 6 years ago and 1 expired 8 years ago. All smoke alarms should have their date of manufacturing or expiry date on them so please have a look. If you need any of your smoke alarms replaced send me a message or give me a call to get it sorted.
