16.01.2022 If you love the area you live in, or whether your family home is getting a bit squeezed for space, why move?? Heres some before and after photos of this cosy 3 bedroom home built by the original owners which had a small amount of fire damage to the rear, they cash settled with their insurance and we put a brief together which would minimise the footprint on the land size, add another 2 bedrooms, a retreat and en-suite. Building up can often be more economical than building laterally, no excavation, concrete and heating/cooling can be zoned to suit. We have a system we use that often can be done whilst still being occupied, by building temporary walls inside and keeping the existing ceiling in place. 03.01.2022 We are pleased to commence works on the Perisher Huette ski Lodge, with over 85 windows to replace over 3 levels, removing the existing Oregon and re-cladding in standing seam and a revamp internally. Glazing requirements include high Bushfire attack levels and using thermal heart thermally broken double glazed casements with truth hardware and some large fixed panels that have terrific views towards the mountain. Using double glazing is only half doing the job, thermally broken extrusions eliminates heat/cold transfer through the aluminium. 03.01.2022 Whilst a lot of businesses are advertising its business as usual for us, the last month we have taken a slightly different response to the situation, some pretty drastic measures have been taken, such as to not allow any more than one trade on any sites at one time, only 1 person in a vehicle and hygiene reminders, we are also not depleting all our business resources on worrying about smashing out jobs until the lock down then be stuck with projects unfinished in an unor...ganised manor, instead we are well prepared to pounce back like a panther when things normalise. We have been able to postpone 1 job and concentrate on preparing another for the inevitable lockdown. 02.01.2022 Check out the fall protection for the Sydney harbour bridge workers.... just the water. safety is always a main priority over cost, its still amazes me that there are people out there willing to risk there employees lives by working off planks and trestles and the old just jump up there quickly and do that, dont worry about the harness more people die in the construction industry every year than Australian soldiers in the Afghan war. When receiving costs for your project always ask your trades etc what safety measures will they take and compare.
