25.01.2022 Sam Metros GTR [email protected] Maatouks Racing has always been a name associated with crazily fast cars, mental builds and record breaking times. This time it was different we lost one of our most dearest brothers Sam Metro to a tragic car accident, he was the owner of our METRO GTR. We made a promise to him that his car would be the car that sat on top of the outright list of AWD supremacy.... Yesterday that promise came true but we didnt just give him one record like he asked we took a bundle of records whilst on our quest. The first record we took was the Quickest GTR record that meaning any GTR and Skyline to ever be produced. Secondly we naturally took the record for Quickest R32 Skyline Thirdly Quickest AWD what a record to have no other AWD car on planet earth is quicker!! Then the rest tumbled Quickest import IRS, Quickest import on radials Quickest and fastest Automatic RB Australias Quickest 275 radial But our biggest achievement was keeping our promise!! Anyone can build a car with money and machinery but to us it was all determination and heart by fulfilling our promise no money can buy this making this record the best one we have. 25.01.2022 Well its been a while since we have mentioned the infamous George Haramis better known as GH-0747. GH is an old but dear friend to the Maatouks Racing team and was racing when half of the racers today where watching and admiring his crazy saves and record setting passes that are still concreted in history today. GH has run 7.3@194mph still holding the single cam VL record. Now its time to say welcome back after a few years off enjoying fishing and no race car to worry abo...ut, he came to the shop and told us he had the bug to get back out racing so he is now the proud owner of a Toyota Supra!!! The minute he saw the car he explained he wanted to ditch the auto and go back to his roots of a clutchless manual gearbox, then in the usual GH fashion he wants everything changed so we are now in the process of just that. 24.01.2022 After a long period off racing due to COVID-19 restrictions we finally got a private test day organised and all we can say is its good to be back and what a day at the track it was!! The VLGOD back out finally and on its first pass going straight to number 1 with 223mph making it the fastest RB powered car in the world VLGOD is in the testing stages with its new ECU the Haltech NEXUS. 24.01.2022 Neds vl Calais turbo came in completely stock for a Maatouks Racing 7 second package which consists of a Maatouks Racing 3.2 stoker kit, Maatouks Racing custom twin cam head, Hypertune inlet manifold, 6 boost exhaust manifold, Precision Turbo, Haltech Elite ECU, TH400 3 speed gearbox, all fabricated in house and all while still retaining the factory air conditioning. On a run in tune it made an impressive 500hp@14psi, this car tick all the boxes as a daily street car and can ...produce the power required to make a grown man cry. We have been working closely with them and taken on the role of building them a Maatouks Racing billet RB powerplant to run into the 5s!!! He then decided to give his GTR a bit of an upgrade, he opted for a Maatouks Racing 30/26 combo, we gave his head an upgrade and built him one of our RB30 bottom ends and then gave his engine bay a 2020 upgrade with a Precision Turbo, Hypertune inlet Manifold, 6 boost exhaust manifold, a new Haltech Elite ECU, upgraded his fuel system and bringing this bad boy out with 1060hp@38psi. 18.01.2022 The OG of the VL God plates,where it all began is this car right here. This car has a lot of memories linked with racing and the R&D that changed the VL scene forever, thankfully it has stayed close to us and in good hands. Ash contacted us requesting a MR800 package and a freshen up to the engine bay giving it a new 2020 model heart beat and accessories to go with its new powerhouse and thats exactly what we gave him!! The engine consists of a MR800 package, Micotech ECU, M...R trigger kit, MR R35 coil kit, MR billet rocker cover and all new black braided lines to go with it. This car was built over 15 years ago and it still looks as good or if not better then the day we built it originally. George has absolutely transformed this already unique R34 to be one of the best R34 GTRs in the country and maybe across the globe. 09.01.2022 Today Maatouks Racing goes back to our first love, the foundation of our passion and our development the legendary VL Turbo and Rays VL is the perfect example of the 2020 version of our VLs. Rays VL was an absolute pleasure to build, Ray came in with one goal insight a low 7 or high 6 second street car while being able to drive it on the street for a cruise with the boys and maybe even to get dinner with the family. So we started off the build with our Bullet/ Maatouks spec... billet block which we have been testing and developing over the last couple of years and proven they are Bullet proof on and off the track, then we added a Nitto 3.2 litre crank with our custom I beam rods, pistons, we then added our custom CNC ported head and cams, external 5 stage dry sump, a 6boost manifold, Turbosmart wastegate, precision promod turbo, Hypertune inlet manifold, 12x2400cc injectors, Als Raceglides turbo 400 with a Reid casing, full 9 inch rear end to suit the mini tubs and 300 plus rubber and then we pretty much added the complete Haltech catalogue including traction control and a list of sensors keeping and eye on all the vitals ensuring the engine is kept under close watch making sure the engine protection will be keeping the 1800hp+ monster alive. #maatouksracing #cute #nostories #promod #billetblock #6secstreetcar #vlgod #metro
