22.01.2022 Tamworth's On Demand Public Transport Trial - ends Tomorrow Transport for NSW announced last week that the trial of On Demand buses in the Moore Creek area of Tamworth will finish on Friday 20th December. Transport for NSW will use the learning's from this trial and other pilots, to look at different ways in which we can make it easier for people to get around on public transport.... Macphersons Coaches would like to thank everyone who used this service over the last 12 months in its trial phase and we hoped it assisted your day to day transport options.

20.01.2022 The safety of passengers and staff remains the highest priority in the face of community concerns around coronavirus (COVID-19). Our cleaning schedules have been increased across all buses after each service using disinfectant products recommended under national health guidelines.. In addition we ask that you try and leave 4 rows behind our drivers free for their safety and well-being to maintain social distancing.... All public transport customers are advised to be alert to the threat of COVID-19 and adhere to health advice. If you are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms, please avoid travel on our buses. Wash. Cover. Avoid. The best protection against infection is hygiene: - WASH your hands with soap and use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser. - COVER your coughs and sneezes, and dispose of tissues. If no tissue is available, cough into the crook of your arm. - AVOID public transport and direct contact with others if you’re feeling unwell. Thank you for your support!

19.01.2022 Macpherson Coaches is continuing to work closely with the relevant government agencies in response to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will continue to monitor advice from health authorities and take extra precautions as necessary. Public transport is considered an essential service and is not affected by the ban on non-essential gatherings. However, present advice is to limit all non-essential travel. Practicing good hygiene... For your safety, and the safety of those around you, we ask our travel companions to please follow NSW Health’s advice regarding good hygiene practices while travelling on our buses. Stay home if you are unwell. - Clean your hands regularly with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rubs. - Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or bent elbow when coughing or sneezing. - Practice social distancing, which includes staying 2m away from others as much as you can. - Avoid touching your face, nose and mouth - And avoid shaking hands.

17.01.2022 Tregarthen and Dunoon Road Closed Due to flooding the Tregarthen (rat) and Moore creek Caves (cheetah) Both buses will divert around the area. Could you please bring your children to either corner of dunoon rd and Fiona drive, or Dunoon rd and Moore Creek road. Rat bus will pick up students at the corner of tregarthen and cary place. 11.01.2022 PLEASE Slow Down To 40km When Overtaking A Bus With Flashing Lights Something that can take you less than 5 seconds greatly reduces the risk of children becoming injured when entering and leaving a bus. Keeping an eye out for children when overtaking and allowing the bus to merge also greatly reduces and risk of children becoming injured. This includes informal bus stops!! 06.01.2022 Slow Down When You See Flashing Lights When a bus is picking up or dropping off school aged children the lights on the back of the bus will flash to warn drivers of the approaching hazard. At this time drivers are required to SLOW DOWN to 40km when overtaking. Unfortunately too often these lights are ignored and scores of children are injured as a result. 01.01.2022 As an adult keeping kids safe is just a part of what we do. Yet surprisingly large amounts of us still don’t know how to keep them safe when overtaking a bus pulled over. The easiest way is to look at the rear or front of the bus to see if it has any flashing lights. If it does slow down to 40km, look out for children crossing the road near the bus, and give way to it if it intendeds to merge back into traffic.
