21.01.2022 Did you know...? Many State forest roads have distance markers. They're a way to 'talk to' oncoming traffic to let them know you are there. It's as simple as st...ating "Passenger vehicle at km on road, heading to " to let others know you're around. When driving on a graveled state forest road you should also: - Keep to the left - Give way to larger oncoming vehicles & pull over when safe to do so - Drive slowly. The speed limit on all forest roads is 60km/hr unless otherwise signposted. #visitnswforests #DriveSafely #takeyourtime #arrivesafe #staysafe #homesafe

16.01.2022 Winter is a great time to visit State Forests of the Barrington Tops, and the perfect day trip! From Gloucester, head up to the Tops & drop into Cobark Lookout ...for your first glimpse of those amazing southerly views. Admire the fern-lined creek banks of Banksia, picnic at Manning River (maybe a spot of fishing?), take in the fairy-like cove of towering pines at The Firs, and check out the breath-taking panoramic views from Moonan Outlook at the Dingo Gate before heading back across the Tops & home again. Too far for one day? Consider staying overnight at Gloucester, Dungog, Moonan Flat or Scone. These gorgeous little regional towns are begging to be explored too. #visitnswforests #tourism #destinationforests #forestry #Stateforests #theTops #barringtontops #barringtoncoast Barrington Coast Love Gloucester - Barrington Coast Dungog, New South Wales #thefirs #manningriver #cobarklookout Moonan cottage
