14.01.2022 Dear all community members, Thank you very much for your participation and generous donations in today's tea programme organised to help victims of recent bushfire. We have collected whopping $1200 in 2 hours despite the rough weather forecast. Your generosity is very much appreciated, and today’s overwhelming participation just proves that we Nepalese as well as other South Asian community are always willing to come together during the time of crisis and help the country whi...ch we all called home. Also, we would like to thank councillor - Masood Chowdary, all the members of Campbelltown multicultural society , MNFC football club as well as all our sponsors (Guaran’s Grocery & Namaste Grocery) for making this programme successful. MRNC will contribute another $2000 from its community fund on top of $1200 we collected today. In total $3200 will be handed over to the council which will be used to help rebuild the community impacted by tragic bushfire. 09.01.2022 Dear all community members, The donation $ 1200 collected during our bushfire fund raising morning tea program and $2000 contributed by MRNC was handed to Mayor George Brticevic at Campeltown council today in presence of MRNC members and councillor Masood Chaudhory.This fund of $3200 was given to Wollondilly Shire Council Mayor Relief Fund which will be used to help rebuild the community impacted by tragic bushfire. In the interaction with the Mayor he mentioned that In 20...15 during a massive earthquake in Nepal , the Local community raised fund for earthquake victims in Nepal and now during Australian bushfire crisis Nepali community contributed this fund for rebuilding and restoration. He felt it like a payback to good deed and also as a gesture that south Asian community comes together in times of crisis . MRNC members also brought attention to mayor about speed breaker requirements at Elizabeth McRae Minto and toilet at the park . The interaction was really fruitful . As per our previous commitment we have handed over the donation of Rs 3lakh twenty thousand to Rabi lamichhane foundation for purpose of building hospital at Raskot community hospital at Kalikot Ward number 5 ! 04.01.2022 McArthur region Nepalese community organised a biggest morning tea ever on 22nd of June 2019. There was a big participation from not just McArthur region but also other regions and suburbs . We would like to express heartily gratitude to those of you who participated and generously donated for a good cause .We were able to collect Au $ 710.00 and it will handed over to cancer council very soon!
