25.01.2022 Resentment has been part of standard multi-language vocabulary for a long time but, for this practice, resentment has only become a staple worksheet of couples counselling for the last decade, definitely over the last 5 years. Resentment is a root problem for the eroding of kindness, caring and thus partner empathy. It is linked heavily to the inability to ask for or to give forgiveness. Is resentment eroding your relationship?

24.01.2022 One of the most important things to keep in mind in conflict resolution is to solve the problem(s) - not to set out to punish, to set out to win, to be 'right'. Most of the time our partner does things that unintentionally hurt us but it can feel intentional, that's when partners enter the conflict resolution process with their back up. This almost always ends in arguments with an inability to resolve problems. Do you ever feel like you are always bringing up the same things over and over? Like your partner is? Like you avoid dealing with the important issues? Like your partner shuts you down or out? It seems as if there is little peace or harmony at home~

13.01.2022 Macarthur Relationship Counselling takes the health and wellbeing of its clients seriously. In light of COVID-19, or Coronavirus, and that the Dept of Health seems to be moving toward the quarantining of many individuals within the community, this practice has now set up Zoom to start online counselling sessions so people can continue, or start, their counselling journey. The fees remain the same. For those who would prefer Facetime, that is also available if you have an iPh...one. I have to be honest and say that I very much prefer face-to-face counselling, however these times call for something different, and online counselling is an alternative to not being able to offer counselling at all. I will still provide a comfortable, caring, professional service to my clients. Zoom allows the sharing of my worksheets with you as we work together through marriage/relationship/individual counselling issues and outcomes. The sooner we lessen the spread of this virus, the sooner we can resume everyday activities and have business as usual once again. Thank you, Karen (Kennedy)
