19.01.2022 Yesterday I installed a Beetle Buster Baseboard to one of my hives. A day later and I am amazed at how many of the little buggers had been hiding within the hive but I'm thoroughly impressed by the effectiveness of the board in dealing with SHB. So impressed I placed an order for another four. Thank you Bruce! https://www.beetlebusterbeekeeping.com/buy-beetle-buster/

07.01.2022 One reason to be thankful that we do not have bears in Australia. What a devastating thing to have to deal with for a beekeeper

06.01.2022 This stunning bee anatomy is printed on fine bamboo wood to give it that sleek look. The anatomy contains the insect in a watercolour finish and names each part of the insects body. https://www.natureplayco.com.au//anatomy-of-a-bee-atachuua?

06.01.2022 Meet The Nurse Bee she starts her duty as soon as she’s cleaned her-own brood cell after emerging as an adult. She will spend the first week of her new life t...ending to the needs of brood larvae, who, three days after hatching from an egg, will eat almost constantly to grow to 1,500 times their original size! The Nurse Bee works around the clock (lucky she’s young and energetic!) and is responsible for feeding, inspecting the larvae and, eventually, capping their cells. She will visit developing larvae around 10,000 times over the 6 days of development, spending between 30 seconds to 3 minutes with each. With up to 2000 new eggs laid per day, that sure is a lot of hungry mouths to feed! Meet the rest of the colony here + check out our special Holiday Season Bundle. Hurry, offer ends midnight 10th of December or until sold out

06.01.2022 Never to young to learn, never to young to teach either

06.01.2022 So even the experts can experience a swarm from their own hives. Makes me feel a bit better.

04.01.2022 Have said it before, will probably say it again, bees certainly find some interesting places to create a home.

04.01.2022 How do you keep bees in your orchard when there are more attractive flowering plants in the vicinity? The answer may lie in pheromones.

01.01.2022 As the weather warms up a reminder how important water is for our bees.

01.01.2022 Not every bee lives in a hive.
