09.01.2022 Just before Christmas 4 years ago I went temporally blind. I felt like I was drunk, and I don't take alcohol. My nerves were intensely jagged and I was in a severe state of distress. After being told I had a major stroke which had been preceded by at least 6 or 7 T.I.A's, (Transient Ischemic attacks) mini strokes hit me like a ton of bricks. WHY AM I TELLING YOU? Because I believe my story is a warning to all. Stroke can hit the very young up to the very old.... I lost muscle memory which took me a while to wonder why playing my guitar was frustrating me. I lost a lot of muscle movement to songs I had been singinging and performing easily for many many years. So I became determined to use my music to help me through my stroke ordeal. Knowing what I wanted to play no longer came easily. I fought with the frustrations, but never gave up. Finally working my hands' muscle memory and my mind memory, has led me to where I am today. I have at least 300 songs in my repertoire. I still have memory issues and rely on my lyrics book to help me remember. The more bookings I can get the better. It is all a part of my rehabilitation and journey, and, my total enjoyment performing and letting my passion speak for itself. It has been a frustrating fight, but, I have come a long way. I put 150% into each and every performance. Music is my passion, and my way of fighting back from stroke. I love to sing and entertain. Book me and you will not be disappointed. But please, allow me to tell of my experience to make as many people as possible aware of it. PLEASE be aware of STROKE. It can strike anyone, at any age, at any time.
