We are delighted to be making an even bigger impact by including Jewish Care as a recipient of funds raised through the 2020 MS Maccabi National Swimathon For MS, the funds ...raised from the event have contributed to the care of over 25,000 Australians living with MS giving them the opportunity to lead more independent lives as well as providing much needed equipment such as wheelchairs and walking frames. You can find out more about multiple sclerosis via the About MS page. For Maccabi Australia, the funds raised from the event contribute towards helping our athletes participate at Maccabiah Games in Israel, Pan American Games, JCC Games, Maccabi All Abilities programs and other events. The MS Maccabi National Swimathon has expanded! You can now show your support in and out of the pool by taking part in a swim, walk or run. No matter your fitness level your participation can be for as little as 30 minutes or more. For Jewish Care, funds will contribute to the many services and support provided to age care, employment, disability, individuals and families. The MS Maccabi National Swimathon has expanded! 09.01.2022 Mazal Tov Michael Klinger! Maccabi congratulates Michael Klinger on being elected to the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, to be officially announced in December 2020. Michael enjoyed many years playing for Maccabi before moving on to play professional sport. An Australian former first-class cricketer, Michael held the record for the most runs scored in the Big Bash League when he retired in 2019. ... One of the finest domestic cricketers of the 21st Century, Michael Klinger joined the Melbourne Renegades as the club's BBL Head Coach in November 2019. Klinger is considered one of the masters of Twenty20 cricket, having scored 5960 runs in 206 T20s around the world. Klinger played state cricket for his native Victoria as well as South Australia and Western Australia, and was one of the stars of the first eight years of the BBL with the Adelaide Strikers and the Perth Scorchers, with whom he played in two title-winning campaigns. He has extensive experience in elite cricket around the world, playing both County and IPL cricket at various stages, as well as three T20 Internationals for Australia in 2017. A truly well-deserved appointment - Michael we are Maccabi PROUD!
