25.01.2022 Macchi 25 would like to say a huge thank you to Pay’s Air Service and all the other companies currently working so hard to save houses and properties from the fires on the East coast. You guys are giving up your Christmas break to give families a chance at having one at all. From all of our friends and supporters out there, stay safe in these tough times and thank you so much for what you are doing.

22.01.2022 Wing panel attach lugs now clean and ready for NDI inspection.

22.01.2022 Arrived in Scone and got straight into things. The fuselage centre section attach lugs have been prepared for the NDI inspections.

21.01.2022 A big thank you to one of our supporter John Foxwell for sending this annunciator light panel to us!! Every part counts! Hoping for some news to deliver to everyone shortly on some progress on many fronts.

20.01.2022 2021 is the Goal for this project. More photos soon. Please help us achieve this with any support at all.

20.01.2022 A7-025 Fatigue Meter Data - EE360-A7. Managed to find the fatigue data for the last recorded flight of A7-025! Quite a find.

20.01.2022 A big thank you to everyone that has come forward this weekend with parts and assistance! Please spread the word on any of your aviation groups and let’s gain some momentum! This will be the people’s jet and is for all to see in the air.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, a short update on 025. We will be having some NDI work carried out on the jet in the next 6 weeks to give us some results on the centre section finally! We are also trying to swap some components from various other organisations to get the best available parts for our aircraft. ... We would really like to have the aircraft flying for the 2021 RAAF Centenary events. If you have anything at all that could assist us or know of someone that does, please contact us. For too many years Macchi’s have purely become museum items that sit on the ground. Please help us get one of the most iconic training aircraft in the RAAFs history back in the air again! James

17.01.2022 Working weekend planned for this coming Saturday & Sunday.... All the volunteers who are available, please let me know. I will be contacting the Aero Club to arrange accommodation. Will be planning to arrive early Sat morning and leaving Sunday afternoon.

14.01.2022 Check out the machine in the centre of the frame.... A7-025

10.01.2022 Santa arrived early today for Macchi 25! The great people at Merredin Military Museum donated a Viper Engine to our syndicate including logbooks. This is an extremely generous donation and we can’t thank them enough! ... Recently we have had a delay in obtaining the rubber moulding product to put into the centre section to check the fatigue life as this has to be specially order from overseas. The team at Aerospace NDI have continued to source this product for us and it is on its way! So the project has been a little quiet these past few months but behind the scenes there is always something happening. A big shout out to the owners of the Macchi’s home in Scone, PAYS AIR SERVICE for working so hard on the fires in NSW and QLD. Stay safe guys and thank you for looking after our homes.

08.01.2022 Give these boys & girls a like!

08.01.2022 Some quick inspiration for you boys!

08.01.2022 A7-025 in formation

04.01.2022 Back on the highway to Sydney. A fast but productive day today. The centre section and wing attach fittings have all been cleaned and prepared for NDI inspection. A little more polishing will be required, however, the bulk of the work is complete. At this stage, the NDI is scheduled for 2nd May 2015. Joining the Macchi 25 crew for the NDI will be our NDI specialist from Newcaslte, along with a number of former RAAF Macchi maintainers to assist. Exciting to see the team moving the project along and even more exciting is the knowledge that we will soon have A7-025 airworthy again. Keep up the hard work guys!

03.01.2022 A few photos of 025 at Northam WA in 2004 prior our ownership that a supporter sent to us this week.

02.01.2022 A7-025 at the Richmond Bicentenniary Airshow... Photo is courtesy of Mike Sattler - Canadian Museum of Flight - General Manager. Mike used to work on 25 as a maintainer and recently contacted me regarding the restoration!

01.01.2022 Calling all ex-Macchi Techs - We Need Your Help! After a long and frustrating search, we've finally managed to track down the last piece of the 'tech manuals' puzzle and are now ready to perform the critical centre section inspection on A7-025. We're in the process of teeing up an NDI specialist to carry out this work but it would be extremely helpful if we had assistance from 1 or more ex-Macchi techs, with some experience in performing this inspection. ... If you, or anyone you know, has any experience with this inspection and you're prepared to give up a day or 2 over a weekend, please contact us. We'd love to hear from you. Cheers.

01.01.2022 In a huge step forward over the weekend we have been donated a Rolls Royce Viper by Merredin Military Museum in WA. The members there are a supporter of getting Macchi 25 flying and have given our group something that will really assist in our rebuild!! We are truely humbled by the generosity that has been shown here. We will support Merredin Aviation Museum in anyway we can and would love to land Macchi 25 there to say thank you on a WA tour. ... If an organisation is willing to do something to this scale maybe some others will follow!! It’s an exciting time to be involved. We are extremely thankful to everyone so far and encourage any donations including financial if you would like to contribute. Please contact me if you have anything Macchi related large or small that may be used on our jet. We are always interested. More photos to come. Next is to get it to the east coast..... a plan is underway..
