25.01.2022 We love getting feedback from our happy users of EEIQ! Jim and the team Stark energy & Solar have been using EEIQ for training, inductions, refreshers and of course, using the logging tool to track everyone's training for compliance purposes. Simple, clear and engaging content is our aim. ... And best of all, you're training in your time which means you can stop for a donut anytime you like!

24.01.2022 Check out this view! We are in the last days of completing a massive lighting audit project assessing the City of Burnside public parks and reserves in South Australia. In between inspecting light fittings and wiring, we have been enjoying this glorious sunshine, the singing birds and local wildlife for the last few weeks, it's been a tough gig!... Huge pat on the back to City of Burnside for taking the initiative to ensure their residents have safe lighting conditions when they visit their local parks. Hopefully, we see more of these projects taken up by other Councils in the future to ensure safe, sustainable and efficient lighting is provided for their community. Great work!

23.01.2022 Remember when you were at school and you would read about a maths problem in a textbook and your teacher would talk about it? Remember how damn hard it was to grasp? You'd just kind of sit there squinting and trying to get your head around it. Then the teacher would show you how to work it out on the board or in your workbook. it made sense. You had to see it! Tradespeople have learnt their trade visually, on-site and through experience. If you are trying to teach your... team something via email or slides in a classroom and wondering why it doesn’t work.. think twice about your communication choice Imagine a way you could simply them a real example in a really easy to understand way. That exists. It's called EEIQ.

21.01.2022 Ever had a 'lightbulb' moment? [pun intended]. We have too. It happened when we were chatting with an AP (activity provider) at an event and they told us how much time and effort goes into logging, training, tracking & measuring their tradies to keep them skilled up and across codes, regulations, and best practice. *Cue lightbulb moment*... What if we used all of our years of knowledge to create an online training tool so they can get up to speed from anywhere at any time and we give you a tool that logs it all for you too? So EEIQ was born. Get in touch to learn more. See more

18.01.2022 What a whirlwind couple of days we had this week meeting and hearing from so many industry experts! . In a world full of pessimism, it was lovely to be surrounded by so many optimists about the future of energy efficiency in Australia. We are excited to be part of the change in this dynamic industry. .... A massive thank you to all of those who shared such interest and signed up for EEIQ, we couldn’t be happier seeing the excitement that our tradie-training platform generated! . Thank you to the EEC for hosting another great event bringing together thought leaders from all over Australia. @ Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC)

18.01.2022 Working in the Energy Efficiency industry, we can sometimes lose sight of why this industry exists & what we are all aiming for. This is a great image that demonstrates each State’s emissions and renewable energy goals by when. Great to see ACT & TAS aiming for 100% renewable energy in just the next few years! Thank you to the Green Building Council Australia & Property Council of Australia for putting such a great report together. This chart in particular really st...ood out! Here's a direct link to the report: https://cdn2.hubspot.net//SUSTAI/Executive_summary_v10.pdf

17.01.2022 The way you conduct your training is getting an upgrade! Our innovative EEIQ online training platform is now only weeks from launching commercial lighting modules! Drop an emoji below if you’d like to be one of the first to get access! ... www.eeiq.com.au

16.01.2022 NEWS FLASH! Just because you've always done it one way, doesn't mean you always need to do it that way! Getting your entire team in from field to sit in a classroom just to complete training from a powerpoint pack USED to be the only way to train. The great news is that we created an online training platform so you don't need to do it that way anymore! Eliminate the need to constantly maintain training documents and logs. Keep your crew and bottom line happy because they have minimal downtime.

15.01.2022 Great News! our Director, Merrily Hunter has been elected to the board of the Energy Efficiency Council (EEC). Merrily is incredibly passionate about the critical work that the EEC undertakes and is looking forward to offering her 20 years of expertise to the Board. Merrily is a person of action, one of her more note-able quotes was: I am not here to quietly fill a seat, nor a diver...sity quota... I am here to ask the hard questions and build on what the EEC has already successfully created Congrats Merrily! Your passion and knowledge will offer so much to the EEC & esteemed individuals you will share the board with.

13.01.2022 We have learned a few interesting things in the 3 million energy efficiency certificates we have audited. We found that 95% of the failures tend to fall into categories which could be resolved through better training. If 95% of non-compliance issues are found in admin failures or elements of an installation, and it wasn’t a repeat pattern of the same installers, was it an education gap or a deliberate choice?... We went on to sites, spoke with tradies, the three top reasons for the non-compliance emerged. 1. They didn’t remember that it was a requirement 2. They didn’t think it was appropriate to take that step on the site; or 3. They weren’t told that part of the Code. I wonder how much of this could be reduced simply by carrying out better training that sinks in. Imagine if we could take refresher courses on particular topics... if only there was an online platform that allowed us to do so... #eeiq See more

09.01.2022 A recent report by Emerald Planet states that 21A contributed the highest number of VEECs created across all activities under the VEU scheme last month! That's massive! On this ‘bright’ note we have a module in our EEIQ platform to help train your teams on 21A. It covers best practice procedures on how to install and even covers ACL (Australian Consumer Law) requirements. It’s not just relevant to the Installers doing the work but your office team too. Lead generators..., call-center support and marketing teams will all benefit from learning about 21A and ACL, it’s online and fun to watch! Get in touch for more info and we can have you sitting the course in no time.

07.01.2022 When in doubt, send them out this our motto when it comes to desktop audits not passing the ‘sniff test’. It’s a fundamental quality assurance measure that a business has access to inspectors who are ready to pop out to a site to give an unbiased report on the work that has taken place. This skilled, independent reporting holds your contractors to account and ensures that your work is compliant, meeting all Regulations and Code requirements.... However, finding those inspectors can be hard and expensive to have on full time, this is where MAC comes in. MAC auditors are: Police checked Uniformed and ID tagged First Aid trained Hold a minimum Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety Working at Heights Accredited; and Have comprehensive compliance and regulation training Our auditors don't simply cover the minimum requirements but provide extensive reporting with geotagged photographs and recommendations that outline industry best practice. We have auditors Australia wide so get in touch and we'll talk you through just how straight forward it is.

06.01.2022 What exactly does an IP rating mean? The IP rating on a light or Ingress Protection rating is how well that light has been designed to cope with outdoor elements like rain, dust and dirt. The higher the number, the higher the protection rating. Street lamps or outdoor lights normally have an IP rating of 65 or higher for example. ... Lights with an IP rating around 40 can be installed outdoors but should be located under an eave or shelter. Lights below 40 should be indoors to get the maximum life and performance. 03.01.2022 The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit. - Nelson Henderson We are planting the seeds now for a new world of training, education & upskilling.

01.01.2022 Recently the ACT announced extending the EEIS out to 2030 and NSW are extending the ESS to 2050! The great news is that there is a larger focus on the benefits that demand response, grid energy management & load balancing can provide for the NEM under these initiatives. Did you know that energy efficiency measures in buildings could achieve over 50% of the Australian Governments 2030 energy productivity targets?... Many businesses can bring down their own costs while improving system reliability and helping balance supply and demand. We are excited to see this industry continue to flourish and look forward to working with Australian businesses to help them carry out their work in accordance with the regulations and targets.
