31.12.2021 ACT public schools will resume face-to-face learning with new students starting on 31 January and returning students on 1 February. Our schools are following gu...idelines endorsed by the ACT Chief Health Officer to ensure on campus learning is conducted in a COVID-safe manner. This includes: COVID safety plans for each school masks indoors for all adults and for students in years 7-12 (masks for years 3-6 encouraged) staggered timetables and cohorting of students and staff maximising outdoor learning and ventilation in classrooms increased cleaning, including high touch surfaces revised drop off and pick up arrangements restrictions to visitors on site during school hours restrictions on school events and excursions voluntary rapid antigen tests (2 per week) for all school-based staff and students for the first 4 weeks of term. For more information about COVID-safe measures in our schools, visit http://ow.ly/mhag50HC6hZ Further information about children and COVID-19 can be found at the ACT Government’s COVID-19 website: http://ow.ly/uygj50HC6hY

17.12.2021 ACT schools will resume on campus learning next week with new students starting on 31 January and returning students on 1 February. While we must remain vigilan...t, there are significant health and wellbeing benefits of face-to-face learning for our children and schools should be open where possible. Each school will have its own COVID safety plan in place. Things like cohorting, mask wearing and improved cleaning, ventilation and hygiene measures will continue. In addition all teachers, school-based staff and students will be provided two rapid antigen tests per week for screening purposes for the first four weeks of Term 1. Tests will be available from schools before the end of Week 1, with further information about collection of tests to be provided to school communities in the coming days. Early childhood services will continue to operate for all children with new processes in place to manage cases. With the level of the transmission of COVID-19 in the community in the ACT, our Back to School plans acknowledge the unavoidable reality that we will see COVID-19 cases in our schools. Our plans are based on refreshed ACT Health Guidelines that have been endorsed by the Chief Health Officer and apply to all ACT school and early childhood and care settings. If at any stage you are concerned about your child attending face to face learning please seek advice from your health provider, visit relevant websites and speak to your school. For more information about COVID-safe measures in our schools, visit http://ow.ly/jCMP50HAZTq Further information about the ACT Government’s COVID-19 response can also be found at http://ow.ly/mZW950HAZTo

27.08.2021 Thanks for inviting me to your year 6 graduation yesterday Macgregor Primary School! I loved learning a little something about every graduating year 6 student. ...I loved Macgregor Primary School when my kids went there. And I can see that it’s still a school community that cares for every individual student. Principal Belinda Andrews gave us lots of ideas for things to say instead of good luck. So, to the year 6 class of 2021, you’ve got this. I know you are well prepared!

10.08.2021 Well that was a whole lot of fun! One of our recently retired and loved teachers, Sue Boyce, visited the children for afternoon tea today and brought with her a large bubble wand for each child! We had big, minute, small, irregular, rainbow, floating, double and triple bubbles all afternoon
