19.01.2022 Christmas party 2020 festivities.



14.01.2022 It's that time of the year Christmas party plans are being made. Helen seems pretty happy about winning a Christmas hamper last year. Dont't forget to bring something in to make up this years hampers and or buy plenty of tickets, $1 each or 6 for $5

14.01.2022 The final of the Mackay Novice Pairs Championships for 2020 has been won by Diane Stokes and Griffo Bancroft. The championships were played over 3 Sunday's 11th, 18th and 25th October.

13.01.2022 Beginners, Supervised Play, Teachers and mentors enjoying an end of year Get-together luncheon. With 2020 being a very rocky year it's been great to be able to keep these sessions going and seeing some of the beginners playing in their first Congress. The club has been well supported by Teachers Helen Van Den Broek, Di Cox who kicked off the lessons at the start of the year, then to Geoff Taylor for supervised play. As always, the club had tremendous support when needed from members, Lorna Shuttlewood (lesson plans), Anne Lutz, Doone Mitchell and Monica Darley at all these sessions.



12.01.2022 Winners and Place-getters at the Central Queensland Teams Congress held in Mackay this weekend. A great weekend, with six of our Beginners from 2020 classes playing in their first Congress. A big 'Thank You' to our Tournament Director, Geoff Taylor .

11.01.2022 The Anne Hird Memorial Trophy for 2020 has been won by Anne Lutz. Ann's partners were Noel Bugeia, Lorna Shuttlewood and Bessie Baldry. The competition this year was played over 3 Mondays 12th, 19th and 26th October 2020. Congratulations to all those who participated. This competition is conducted with a lucky draw for partners and well supported by the beginners and under State players.

08.01.2022 Celebrating her 95th birthday today is Joy Robinson. Joy makes the journey from Sarina to Mackay 4 times a week to play bridge with her regular partners Robert, Ken and Pat and Thelma. Joy will have dinner tonight surrounded by her family in Sarina.

06.01.2022 Nominations for the Central Queensland (CQ) Teams event to be played Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November 2020 close on Monday 9th November 2020. Please nominate and pay your fees early and don’t miss out if you intend to play - $160.00 per team In recent years this event has been very supported by neighbouring zones (Whitsunday, Capricorn and Northern) as well as players from the south east Queensland.
