24.01.2022 This great picture taken by Bob Hughes shows how far (or how high) hydroplane drivers can go to win a race. In 2018, Rémy Leblanc and his Hydro 350 boat "Allard...Ménard" H-799 were not even close to touching the water on the Niagara River at the North Tonawanda Regatta in HRL. 22.01.2022 Everyone needs to get their entries in for next weekends race day on the 14th. Also do their dinner payments for presentations on the Saturday night. Remember the dam is closed to the public on the Saturday only.

13.01.2022 Hi guys we have finally got all our ducks in a row and can go ahead with our race on the 22nd August. We have some very important steps we have to follow with our 500 or less Covid plan. Warren Walker put up a link for all financial club members must complete a side online course before the event. We also have some procedures to follow on the day for covid event plan as well. Nothing g changes on the water just on the bank. We will have new entry forms up very soon for every one to fill out. We also need to put up our entry cost to only temporary as we have extra cost involved with this covid event plan. Members entry fee $90... Non-members $110... Juniors fees stay the same at $25. 02.01.2022 Race Day 22nd August As part of our Covid Safe requirements for events, we are to ensure members & volunteers have completed the required training. Can all memb...ers and volunteers attending our next event on the 22nd of August please complete the ‘COVID Safe for Dining In (micro-credential)’ course, to ensure we meet our obligations. Copy the following link & paste into your web browser - https://tafeqld.edu.au/campaign-pag/Covid-19-Response.html On completion of the course, please email a copy of the certificate to our Mackay Power Boat Club. email address - [email protected] It is also a requirement, that a hard copy of the certificate is available should an official request it on the day so please print out a copy & bring it along on the race day. If you have any questions of concerns, please ask. It is imperative that this course is completed by all volunteers and members. There are hefty consequences if Clubs and Event organisers do not follow the Unite Against Covid 19 guidelines. Fines of up to $6,000.00 have been mandated for Clubs and Organisers of events that do not do the right thing. And there are fines for individuals if they do not follow the event guideline. Please ensure you adhere to the Covid safe guidelines so as we can continue to enjoy the freedoms we have and continue holding events.
