25.01.2022 The Teddy Room enjoyed a visit from Miss Julias pet dog- Paddy yesterday. This was a part of their pet interest learning which is taking place in the room at the moment and extended from our Petting Zoo visit a few weeks back. The Koala bears were lucky enough to get a quick pet in too before Paddy had to leave us :)

24.01.2022 Ahoooyyy!!! Today we all got to enjoy a visit from Pirate Pete. The children and educators danced and sang along while Pirate Pete did such a good job at entertaining..Heres some photos from the morning

24.01.2022 Cubbie House had a special little visitor yesterday- Temos the Turtle. Miss Hellen brought Temos in for the Pandas, as they are learning about Under The Sea Creatures. The rest of the rooms got to enjoy a visit too and had the opportunity to touch or observe as Miss Sonia held the turtle. Some children were more impressed than others :)

23.01.2022 Thank you to Candice and her mum Sylvia for helping the bubbas enjoy some indigenous painting today.

23.01.2022 A big thank you to Miss Zoe Rodgers for organising some indigenous activities today. The children got to enjoy some indigenous music, where they learned some dances including the Taba Naba and Father Abraham. The Polars and Grizzlies then enjoyed some indigenous weaving with Dorothy and Michelle. While the Koalas and Pandas enjoyed a cooking experience with Paul, uncle Allen and Janesta, where they made banana damper. Everyone got to enjoy Fried Scones which Zoe, Michelle, Dorothy and Janesta had prepared. This yummy food is a typical islander dish. Thanks to all involved for a wonderful morning.

14.01.2022 A Massive Thank You to Amanda Cox (Addisons and Mackenzies mum) for organising such a wonderful treat for the children (and educators) today. Everyone enjoyed the animal visit and had a lot of fun petting, brushing and feeding the animals.

14.01.2022 The Polars enjoyed a cooking experience today where they helped to create their own little Pizzas. Hayley and Candice did a great job in extending off the childrens interests (from last week) with this fun learning experience. Also the pizzas tasted fab. Well done Polar Team :)

13.01.2022 White Balloon Day 2020- Australias largest and longest-running campaign dedicated to preventing child sexual assault and exploitation. Here at Cubbie House the educators and children got together to show our support for this important day. Thank you to all those who made a donation to this special cause

12.01.2022 This week the Koala children have been doing a cooking theme which came from an interest of one of the children. Yesterday the children got to participate in a yummy and fun cooking experience where they made pizzas. With clean hands and assistance from their educators the children were able to add sauce, ham, pineapple and cheese to their pizzas. The children really enjoyed this experience and especially enjoyed the taste testing part. We then got to enjoy these yummy pizzas for lunch
