13.01.2022 What a great night of fights at Power-House 4 Muay Thai show last night. The Mackay MMA team walked away with 2 wins from 3 fights. A big thank you to June for having on his show. We will be back for the next one. Jaden Dalrymple fought an extremely technical fight controlling all rounds of the fight to win a unanimous decision. Brandon Veitch continued his win streak of Ko’s by landing a huge right hand 36 seconds in the first round. ... Chris Rower fought a tough battle of what could have easily have been fight of the night. Chris lost a unanimous points decision in a fast paced fight. Huge shoutout to our Head Striking Coach Kimo Smith for the perfect preparation and also to Toni Garnham and Peter Templer for having the guys in peak fitness. Thanks to our huge team coming along to support last night. The atmosphere amongst all the team is amazing! While this is an individual sport, it is a massive team effort to prepare for these fights. Thank you to all that have been training or sparring partners in preparation and coming to support the boys.

08.01.2022 Last night we held our end of year grading with head coach Anthony Perosh. Congratulations to the two new Purple belts, Gabi Correa and Travis Saxby. Also 3 new blue belts, Ivan Franettovich, Scott Francis and Kean Morris. A lot of stripes also being awarded to our team. A massive congratulations goes to David Garnham who was awarded his Black Belt. Such an amazing achievement and very well earned.

07.01.2022 Great News! July 13 we will be back with all of our usual martial arts classes. We have had clarification that contact sports will return as normal from July 10, with all non-participants having to exercise social distancing. We will continue to follow our strict sanitation protocols to give the safest and cleanest training environment. We do ask that no spectators or parents stay in the gym during the sessions. We also ask that you or your child arrives no earlier than 5... mins before their session and leaves as soon as possible. Over the next week or so we will publish our revised timetable starting July 13. Both adult and kids martial arts classes will return from then. Thank you to all our members who supported us through these tough times! We can’t wait to be back on the mats with you soon.

05.01.2022 2 massive weeks of fights for the @mackaymma fight team. Last night we had MMA on the Sunshine Coast on @coastal_combat_mma. Jayden Vea Vea made an impressive debut by winning by KO in the second Round. Jaden Dalrymple kept his undefeated record in tact with a dominant win via RNC 58 seconds in the 1st round.... Last week we had 5 fighters fight Muay Thai on Powehouse Fight Promotion. Kean Morris made his debut and won via 3rd round KO. Shaun Kattenberg was impressive but lost to a decision. Peter Templer finished his fight early in the first round via KO. Kimo Smith returned to the ring on style winning via 3rd round Ko. Brandon Veitch made a huge step up in competition and put on an great show of skill but was finished in the 3rd rd. #mackaymma #mackay #bjj #mma #muaythai #kickboxing

03.01.2022 Get on and follow Lachlan Stitt MMA extremely talented MMA, BJJ and Muay Thai Fighter. Lachy is an old Mackay MMA student now based in Sydney. Lachlan is fresh off a bronze medal at the IMMAF Oceania Championship losing only to the the World Champion. He is 5-1 in MMA and an undefeated Muay Thai Fighter and the current NSW Muay Thai Champion.... Big things to come for Lachlan we love following your progress!

02.01.2022 On the last fight show before the lockdown, Brandon Veitch was able to win the Beast Championship Amateur Welterweight title. Brandon was able to finish via Triangle Choke in second round of the Main Event. With restrictions being lifted for contact sport on Friday, we are looking forward to finishing the year with some strong competition results.

Kimo Smith was crowned the Blue Belt Gi Sub Only No Time Limit NQ Champ finishing all matches via foot locks. Sasha Newman and Dan James were also able to win gold in their divisions. ...
