24.01.2022 Mackay Motorsports would like to thank Royal Lubricants for their support tonight with the Complete Plastering Group 41N

23.01.2022 Well Done Jords finished 6th in the feature little bit of damage to the N41 & no brakes in the end of the feature but should be back for Toowoomba next week

23.01.2022 First heat of the night & Jordan started out of 5th had a little bump in the beginning with a few stoppages & then finished the race in 4th

21.01.2022 Due to timing issues at Avalon Raceway, the VSDA was unable to announce the winner of the Permatex Hard Charger award, but now that the dust has settled on the 27th running of the Beasley Memorial, we received a call today while travelling back to NSW, to inform Rob , that he was the recipient. Moving up 11 places in the A main from a starting position of 14 to a podium finish of 3rd , he was deemed the hard charger of the feature. Mackay Motorsports would like to thank Permatex and all those associated with this brand from the VSDA club. It’s actually quite ironic with the timing as Rob was just saying on the drive down to Victoria prior to the race that he was out of his favourite Permatex products and needed to restock. Thank you Permatex

20.01.2022 A big shout out to our friends in Melbourne, Stew, Tash and Jack Regan, who have just come back from watching the Tigers win the AFL Final and now enjoying a few cold ones ( or an esky full) and watching Mackay Motorsports on Clay per view. Jack himself,is a promising little driver , just about to start his second season in Go Karts. Good luck this year Jack. The second round of heats didn't see the Mackay brothers preform to well. Rob completely missed the set up with the ...N21 and the car preformed dismally. Finishing 4th in his heat but starting out of 2. Don didn't fair much better in the N41 accidentally turning the car off and pulling out of the race. It's not all bad news for the team. As there is only 15 cars present ( even less now) that guarantees the boys a start in tonights A main. See more

20.01.2022 Away from racing....that is to say dirt track racing. Don Mackay enjoyed day 2 as a guest in the corporate box of Direct Plasterboard Outlet. Well done to Nathan Morcom starting 10th on the grid in race one, who brought it home to finish 9th at the conclusion of the race in the Dunlop 2 series.

20.01.2022 Middle of the pack with Qualifying for the Mackay Motorsports N21 XXX/Fontana. With Rob just making this group session the good news was the brakes were fine, the not so good news is the car preformed a bit better but still pulled low revs. Robs qualified 17th in a 29 strong field of Speedcars which places him in the 2nd heat starting out 6. He has his work cut out for him as he needs to finish 6th or higher to transfer straight to the Amain. Car is being worked on by the crew to give him the best possible chance in todays meet.

20.01.2022 The Speedcars A main took place on a heavy and badly rutted track. With little track preparation carried out during the night , large divots began to appear in turns 1 and 2 with 3 and 4 just slightly better. With Jordan starting out of 2 and Robert out of 3 , there was a good chance that either Mackay Motorsports drivers could take an early lead in the race. It was Robert that capitalised , as Jordan took a hit from another car on the opening lap that saw him pushed off th...e racing line and lose positions. Robert , in the N21 XXX/ Fontana pulled away from the field as the motor finally showed its potential. A stoppage in the early part of the feature brought the field back to Robert. Unfortunately the stoppage was for Jordan in the N41 Complete Plastering Group XXX/ Hawk as the hit he took at the start of the race and the track conditions resulted in a broken shock eye and the car sitting on the track on the back straight. While the crash crew worked to get him on the back of the tow truck ( this became bogged on the track) the rest of the field did quite a few rolling laps awaiting the start of the race. Taking it slow , the field used this time to check out racing lines at the top of the track. On the restart , Robert once again ran away from the pack however the gap had narrowed. After leading 13 laps a hard charging Michael Stewart look the lead and relegated Robert to 2nd. Watching on from the sidelines the crew were cheering him on with gusto but had noticed a slight slow down in the N21 speed. With Michael and Robert still clear of the pack, some drivers also tried the top line with mixed results and there was some desperate moves made to try and secure the final position on the podium. One move paid off for Regan Angel and he cleared Gary Rooke, who was holding off the rest of the field. On the last 2 laps, Regan passed Robert who held on for 3rd. Robert reports he slowed because of extreme weariness ...which is evident when his age is the combined age of the 1st and 2nd place getters Mackay Motorsports would like to thank the following sponsors: Direct Plasterboard Outlet (DPO) Complete Plastering Group Brooks Motors - Mayfield Auto Pro - Mayfield Tonight’s Crew - Shannon, Sharon, Don, Gavin, Kevin and Jackie See more

19.01.2022 Jordan’s qualified 6th fastest out of 22 cars in hot laps, he’s happy with how the car was for its first time out this season

17.01.2022 The rain threatened but the speedway gods must be smiling down on the track tonight because no rain fell. Heat races have been drawn and Rob starts out of 3 in the 3rd heat and 8th in the 6th heat. Results to be posted in the comments of this post. Driver and crew are preparing for engine starts and hot laps scheduled to take place at 6pm.

15.01.2022 After a long wait the Complete Plastering Group N41 is getting loaded up ready to race at Archerfield tomorrow night safe travels Jordan & Donald Mackay

15.01.2022 Coming off the success the team has had in the last couple of race meets, the expectations were high that the Mackay Motorsports N21 XXX/Fontana would continue that form into the second round of the Speedcar Super Series - GT Challenge, held at Vavoline Raceway last night. Early in the program however , the team knew they were not going to have an easy time and had a challenging night ahead of them. Hot laps was the indication that things just weren’t right with the motor. ...Continue reading

13.01.2022 Robert Mackay in action at Vavoline Raceway last Saturday night.

13.01.2022 Mackay Motorsports is back again for the second round of the NSW Club Championship round at Valvoline Raceway. Jordan makes his debut this season, after suffering an illness last meet that saw his dad take over the driving duties of the N41 Complete Plastering Group XXX/ Hawk. Robert returns in the N21 XXX/ Fontana after a disappointing 1st round that saw a shock cap come off before the feature race effectively ending any chance he had in the feature race to secure a podium finish. Both cars have had engine starts and the boys are rearing to go. Up dates to follow.

13.01.2022 Robert qualifies directly for the A main as he finished 6th in his heat ( last transfer position- 7 or below go through the B main).

13.01.2022 Mackay Motorsports driver Don Mackay had a great day out with long time sponsor and friend, Barry Morcom from Direct Plasterboard Outlet (DPO). Barry’s son Nathan Morcom is easily recognised from the Dunlop Super2 series, the supporting class of the V8 Supercars. Pace yourself Don....you’re strapped in for another 2 days of action at the Supercars Newcastle Coates Hire 500.

12.01.2022 Well done Rob Mackay. A big thank you to Jordan Mackay, Sharon Mackay, Stew Regan, Lee Bakes , Jack Regan, Tash Regan, Danielle Bakes, Johnoh Sidwell ( and Mum and dad) Samantha Bakes and Hunter Bakes for their support tonight.

11.01.2022 Full race report to follow tomorrow. Congratulations to Mackay Motorsports driver, Don Mackay, whom took 2nd place at Nowra tonight in the Direct Plasterboard Outlet N65.

11.01.2022 Where qualifying is paramount in the Speedcar Super Series , Robert is experiencing some issues after a hit out at hot laps. Brakes are non existent and the motor is still running cold , despite leaning it out. With Crew Chief Gavin McGee on the case, the team are confident they can get him out for qualifying at least.

08.01.2022 It’s race day down here in sunny Victoria ( nope not a typo). There is a chance of rain forecast at Avalon that could put a dampener on tonight’s Beasley Memorial race but the team are not letting that get in the way of race preparations. As you can see by the photo, Jordan and Rob are hard at work .

06.01.2022 Working on getting the new Fontana into the DPO 65 conference call to the Sydney crew new motor looking on track not long till the DPO 65 will be racing again.

05.01.2022 Race report to follow but Mackay Motorsports has taken 3rd in the A main.

04.01.2022 The rain is holding off on what threatened earlier to be another wash out. Robert in the N21 XXX/ Fontana is the lone representative from Mackay Motorsports after Jordan was forced to pull out of today’s meeting. Engine starts have been run and the team is just getting ready for the 1st round of heats. Will post results in comments.

04.01.2022 Mackay Motorsports returns to Valvoline Raceway this Saturday night with Rob Mackay in the N21 XXX/ Fontana and Jordan Mackay in the N41 Complete Plastering Group XXX/Hawk. Don Mackay in the N65 Direct Plasterboard Outlet XXX/Fontana is expected to join his teammates /family when the SSS runs at Parramatta on the 9th of December. Jordan’s keen to move on from his run of bad luck experienced over the last few race meets. He’s prepared his car beautifully and with Don and Greg, turning the spanners in the pits he’s ready to let his Hawk soar. Robert is still experimenting with set ups and the engine isn’t exactly at full throttle yet , but with further adjustments.....and some fitness training he’s quietly confident that he will get the best out of his car and himself this weekend.

03.01.2022 Complete Plastering Group N41 has been cleaned & prepared ready for next weeks meet at Toowoomba
