22.01.2022 Our Christmas breakup will be held on Sunday 1st Dec commencing with a light row at 4pm followed by a roast meal and presentations. Could please reply to Sabina with numbers for catering please. If you could either bring along a salad or sweet to share. Will be a nice afternoon to catch up and relax over a few drinks....hope to see many of you come along and celebrate our year.

20.01.2022 Mackay Rowing Club is holding its AGM this Saturday 8th March at 8am at the rowing shed after morning rowing. If you are able to make it we would love to see you.

18.01.2022 5 of our clubs rowers competed in The Cairns Hottie is was raining and freezing . Racing was quads and eights. Mackay 2nd out of the quads, 5 th overall. Smaller field this year than due to covid. Dave, Nick, Karl, Cameron , Nat as Cox. The event is run every year by Cairns Rowing Club, it’s a 13 km race in the head of the trinity inlet. Cox Nat had a tough job avoid moored yachts and boats Congratulations and well done Team

12.01.2022 Boys out in the refurbished 8 sweep with Sophie as cox, thanks to Mick our boat master and his crew for working on our boats. Thanks to Serendipity Kiss for the coffee, hope to see you out again soon, it was great tasting coffee too. To our neighbouring Rowing Clubs please don’t forget to nominate for our Mackay Rowing Club Regatta coming up April 4 & 5..should be a top weekend..let’s hope the weather has settled by then..nice morning to be out rowing, water is still murky but hopefully will start clearing up soon. 10.01.2022 Mike Patridge, Manager - Sport & Development for Rowing Queensland conducted a coaching clinic for our club on Friday and over the weekend. Thanks Mike for your time and effect, we all gained so much from your coaching and knowledge on rowing, very much appreciated even though we finished off in the pouring rain it was a successful weekend. You are always welcome at Mackay Rowing Club.

05.01.2022 MACKAY ROWING CLUB REGATTA Our president has advised after many discussions with RQ he can confirm that our Mackay Regatta will continue as planned. Rowing Queensland will be supporting our Regatta. If circumstances change we will be notifing clubs nonimated to complete. Fingers crossed things will settle down and the Regatta will go ahead as normal.
