25.01.2022 Thank you to Mackay Regional Council for their continuous support in our Annual Australia Day Beach Party

17.01.2022 The Mackay Surf Life Saving Club hosted the 30th successful North Australian Surf Life Saving Championships over the weekend. 24 Qld clubs from Port Douglas in the North to Miami Beach in the south came together for a weekend of fun and competition. A great turn out of 430 competitors varying in ages from 10 to 70 years of age competed in beach sprints, ocean swims, surf ski, board races and pool rescue. Congratulations to Cairns Surf Lifesaving Club for taking out the Junior, Senior, Masters, Pool and Overall Point score. A big thank you to Surf Life Saving Queensland the Mackay Regional Council and Mackay Aquatic Recreation Complex for their generous support. #thisislifesaving #redandyellow #mackaypride

16.01.2022 Nippers is a fun way for children aged 5 to Under 14 to enjoy the beach in a safe environment. The Junior Development Program is designed to ensure children have fun at the beach while participating in lessons that will give them a pathway to becoming a fully rounded participant in both lifesaving and sport. Thanks to our Junior Club Captain Niko and Youth Member Klara for passing on some of their knowledge to our nippers this morning. With the beach closed today our program ... concentrated on first aid & cpr. For parents of nippers- we love the aspect of knowing our children are not only learning beach & surf safety while being active but from a young age they learn lifesaving skills through play & activities #thisislifesaving #mackaysurflifesavingclub
