We need your help to acknowledge young sportspeople (16 years to 25 years) who achieved great things and demonstrated amazing spirit in their sporting endeavours in 2020. How do you nominate? Time Out Tai Chi provides gentle, effective and easy to follow moves, and beginners are always welcome. Aqua Fitness With Sue, Saturdays 9.15am at Bluewater Lagoon. It is encouraged for participants to bring their own pool noodle.... Zumba with Elena, dance, sweat and have fun for free! Sunday, 9am at the Bluewater Quay. 17.01.2022 Congratulations to Mackay's Service to NQ Sport Nominee Melissa Ferrier on winning the North Queensland Sports Foundation . Melissa started her volunteering for netball at the age of 13 as an umpire at Downey Park Netball, and has continued her volunteering with Brothers Netball Club Mackay. Melissa has undertaken a large array of roles from Umpire, Coach to Committee Members. ... During the COVID period Melissa continued to provide training programs for athletes to follow and motivation to stay the course. Melissa may also be in line to volunteer at the Olympics after volunteering at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Melissa, Mackay is proud of you! Events need to be held in the Mackay region, be free for all attend and be held on Australia Day, January 26, 2021. Applications close midnight, November 15. 06.01.2022 Our Magpies Crusaders United are big supporters of the annual Sports Expo and Sign-on each year. Next month's event is being held in a different format though due to COVID-19 restrictions, with Mackay sports and recreation clubs, organisations and groups to be showcased in a virtual setting.
