24.01.2022 We celebrate Pentecost on Sunday. What does it all mean?
24.01.2022 You are invited to join in the adventure of giving and caring. We are always in need of more Street Chaplains.... but do you have the "right stuff"? A non-judgmental attitude and a heart willing to give unconditional love and care, feet that can walk and a pleasant mature demeanor, is all you need to make a huge impact in the life of another. Please message me or email [email protected] to book in for an observation shift and start the adventure of a life time.

16.01.2022 After a tough year, there has never been a better time to recognise someone who goes above and beyond for our community. Rather than giving up on their goals o...r community projects, some truly inspirational people stepped up, worked harder than ever and found innovative ways to overcome social distancing restrictions - it’s time those people were recognised for their efforts. There are eight award categories including: Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Arts and Culture, Environmental Achievement, Lori Burgess Community Volunteer, Community Group, Senior Sports and Young Sports Award. The nomination can take as little as five minutes. The awards pay tribute to individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to their local community and/or achieved exceptional results in sporting, or cultural endeavours. If you know a volunteer who goes above and beyond for their community, let them know you appreciate their hard work. If there is a local sports person who has achieved exceptional results, recognise them for their achievements. Or, if you know a passionate environmentalist or budding performer who lights up the stage, show them that you are proud of them by nominating them for an Australia Day Award. To nominate someone for an Australia Day Award visit council’s website www.mackay.qld.gov.au/australiaday or return a hardcopy version of the form to one of council’s Client Service Centres. Nominations close January 6, 2021 #councilloralisonjones

Why not share the extras around to those friends who you think need support? Let them know you are thinking of them and let them know that they can chat anonymously with us also.
