25.01.2022 This is the initial stages of Van Diemens cabin restoration. The original was planked in King Billy pine and fastened with copper nails. Over the years it has sagged and rotted in places. In order to fix this we lifted the cabin back into shape, refastened original planking, remove and replaced rotten planking then we cold moulded two layers of diagonally planked clear Oregon and finished with a fairly heavy layer of fibreglass.
