18.01.2022 Still a work in progress! One week away from finish. On my knees cleaning bricks, then sealing (twice) having fun with some colour and enjoying the quiet that comes from a little house with just a ticking clock and no standby lights. Can tune into the ABC, SBS or any two of the other regional stations which the antenna chooses to acknowledge in a gale force wind. Days are longer, the temperature somewhat more moderate and the trees are all popping their buds. Again it is Thursday - but I actually feel as though every day is Thursday. Roll on 5.00pm when it is time to watch the Chaser and have a drink or two (perhaps three). If that show is ever removed from viewing we will have to resort to all the quizes printed in the weekend papers and ring a friend for the elusive answer - the only reward is that 3rd drink.

04.01.2022 All finished (for the moment). All the trees have been pruned and our very big cactus is alive with the most glorious white flowers - the scent is lovely - and bees. Roses have never been better and I had sweet peas mixed with sugar peas in one of my planter boxes. Christmas is coming.
