24.01.2022 Principal Michael Lee has met with senior leadership staff this morning and will meet with Catholic Education and other principals at 12 noon. A staff leadership meeting is scheduled for 1pm, where written advice about the status of the schools opening and the delivery of online learning will be put into letter form. The principal hopes to communicate with staff, students and parents by letter by 3pm. Please stay well.

23.01.2022 Jasmine Ryan, 2002-2020. The community of St Mary MacKillop College, particularly the Class of 2020 and their teachers, mourn the untimely passing of Year 12 student Jasmine Ryan. Her generosity of spirit, regard for all, and the many qualities of her friendship to those who knew her will be much missed at this school. MacKillop stands with Jasmines family in their grief now and into the future. Rest in Peace.

18.01.2022 Last week, Cancer Council ACT visited the school to present Year 12 with the new perpetual trophy for the Highest Fundraising School in the Relay for Life. We would like to once again congratulate our Class of 2021 on this achievement and express our thanks to the many, many people who donated to the cause!

18.01.2022 Aiden Mavity (August 30 2000 - 19 September 2019). Many of you will by now have learned of the untimely death of Aiden Mavity. Aiden was a member of the Colleges Graduating Class of 2018 having joined the College six years before. Aiden had good friends, built respectful and positive relationships with his teachers and like us all, met challenges and success in the company of others. Aiden entered into his eternal reward on 19 September this year and will be missed by many ...of us. Counselling has been offered to those who knew him and who are still at MacKillop. Distressed members of the Class of 2018 are encouraged to seek the support of each other and professional care. On behalf of the MacKillop community, I would like to offer my sincere regrets to Aidens family and friends and have them know they are held in the thoughts and prayers of us all. 17.01.2022 The students from St Mary MacKillop College Canberra have kicked Givemas off with a bang! Year 10 students visited our Givemas Station on Friday with an overwhe...lmingly generous amount of gifted Christmas presents to be shared with adult patients across Canberra Hospital at Christmas time. Some of these patients have been in hospital for long stays, some dont have family nearby to visit. We know the profound impact receiving a surprise gift from a stranger will have for these patients, and on behalf of patients and staff on the wards, we thank MacKillop College for their warmth and extreme generosity.
