20.01.2022 The puppies are nearly ready to head to their new homes. Microchipping and vet check and vaccinations tomorrow am. The puppies requiring 3 -4 meals per day. They are eating a diet of: Supercoat puppy loaf (tin food) or optimum puppy tin food, mixed with supercoat puppy kibble. ... The supercoat puppy kibble is great for smaller breed puppies because they are much smaller pellets than most other puppy kibble brands. By mixing the wet and dry foods together the puppies get used to the kibble which becomes softer and easier for them to eat. After three weeks I recommend increasing the kibble and reducing the wet food. By 6 weeks of your puppy being home it should be eating just kibble. The kibble cleans their teeth as they eat it which prevents tooth decay and kidney disease. Long term use of wet food can stick on the teeth causing decay etc. We feed our puppies supercoat puppy kibble because it is readily available at both Coles and Woolworths so is easy for our families to carry on same diet when puppy goes home with them. We use the two different puppy wet tin foods because the supercoat loaf is avail at Woolworths and the optimum puppy tin food is avail at Coles. Either way every family should therefore be able to continue feeding their puppy the diet it is used to. The puppies are drinking water from a shallow bowl, please note due to small size of the puppies they are at high risk of drowning in deep water bowls, and also pools ( regular pool fencing will keep children out but little puppies can fit through the bars). The puppies enjoy puppy milk which adds extra calories and is a nice treat for them.

10.01.2022 Champagne had her first Artifical Inseminations this week, on Wednesday and today. Fingers crossed we will be confirming her pregnancy in around 3 weeks and having a full healthy litter in approx 60 days.
