24.01.2022 BOWRAVILLE CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND The wonderful inclusive Bowraville Children’s Playground is now completed and with the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions is avai...lable for everyone to enjoy. The playground has some wonderful innovative play equipment and the surrounding sports and recreational precinct at Hennessey Tape Oval in Bowraville now offers a revitalized skate park, a BMX track, BBQ’s and picnic shelters, connecting pathways, and basketball/netball courts as part of the conversion of the existing tennis courts. The projects have been developed with input from the community, and the previously developed Bowraville Connections Concept Plan, and grant funding from the NSW Government under several programs including Stronger Country Communities Fund Rounds 1 and 2, Everyone Can Play Program, and the Social Housing Community Improvement Fund. Council has received many letters of support and thanks, and we do appreciate all feedback from the community. An extract from a letter of thanks from the Bowraville Community Preschool acknowledges Council’s commitment to delivery of excellent community infrastructure with the support of grant funding and community input: Firstly, thank you. Thank you for acknowledging the need for such a space for the children of Bowraville Community and surrounds. Thank you for listening to the needs and desires of the Community and for taking their ideas forward into the design process. Thank you for a playground design that is beyond belief. It is known, by many, as the BEST Playground around. On behalf of the Community, thank you for giving everyone a space they can be proud of, and area that brings a smile to all those who enter the gates (regardless of their age).

19.01.2022 You can use outdoor exercise and playground equipment, but do so with caution. Wash your hands before and after you use this equipment. Assume the person who has used the equipment before you has the virus.... Do not go out if you’re sick and maintain physical distancing. Remember that the public gathering rule of no more than 10 still applies.
