21.01.2022 Turtle Time! Not one, but 41 https://ginninderralandcare.org.au/terrapin-time-not-one-b/

20.01.2022 Good morning. What should have been our normal 'last Sunday of the month' working bee (this coming Sunday 25/10) will be postponed to the following Sunday 01/11. We will meet at the bottom of Crago Pl at 9am. The aim is to spread the mulch at that site and to clear the weeds at our bee friendly garden at Swift Pl if we have enough people.... Hope to see you there.

16.01.2022 Macgregor Landcare Group August working bee. Hi all, the rain last week was really welcome but the flood brought with it heaps of rubbish down the stormwater drains and into the creek. I think our next working bee will be an early "clean up the creek" day. If the weather stays as forecast then it should be dry enough for us to get in, spread out the reed debris and collect the plastic rubbish we unearth. We have bags and gloves but it would be good if you can bring along a ...sturdy rake and wear solid shoes. SUNDAY 30/08/20 @ 9.30 @ our place Crago Pl to pick up gear and work out where to go. Look forward to seeing you and stay for a cuppa after if you can. I've also attached an article you might be interested in, Cheers Lyn

15.01.2022 16 Macgregor residents put in a combined 24 hours work on Sunday 30 August to collect 12 bags of plastic rubbish together with 2 car tyres, a bike frame and miscellaneous other items. And we only touched the surface. More clean up days coming up. Watch this space.

11.01.2022 Hi all, please mark the last Sunday of the month - Sunday 27 September for our landcare working bee. Let's meet at 9am at the Berne Cres site (near the play area/picnic shelter). The plantings along the creek there need to be cleared of flood debris and of course there is plenty of rubbish to pick up too. As a matter if interest, if you have been wondering what the white coating on the exposed rocks and banks as the water level has gone down I checked with the Waterwatch peo...ple and its not salt/mineral deposit as I originally thought. Rather its dried algae (diatoms). So all good on that front. Also I've been promised a couple of trees to plant on the slope above where they placed one of the seats along the creek. If they survive they will eventually provide much needed summer shade. More on this later. Look out for another email from me giving info on an upcoming Frog-Turtle project. It sounds very interesting and a great opportunity to participate in a citizen science venture. See you on 27/9 hope you can make it, Lyn
