24.01.2022 Maclean Pipe Band has just registered to be part of the IGA Community Benefit Program. Ritchies supports clubs, schools and charities based on a percentage of your total shopping on eligible products. Shoppers are now able to access a loyalty card which are available at each of the checkouts. When activating your card you are able to nominate a registered community recipient. We would like to encourage our local community to nominate Maclean and District Pipe Band as your community recipient. As our community is aware, our band plays at many functions within the town and on the northern rivers. These funds would be used to help maintain the band, and would go towards things such as new uniforms. The band would really appreciate you helping them with their fundraising by nominating them as your community recipient.

22.01.2022 CANCELLATION OF THE 116TH MACLEAN HIGHLAND GATHERING EASTER 10 & 11 APRIL 2020 In light of the Commonwealth Government's recommendation advising against non-ess...ential, organised public gatherings of more than 500 people, and after consulting with the Committee members of the Lower Clarence Scottish Association overnight, we have had to take the regrettable decision to cancel this year's Maclean Highland Gathering, due to be held on 10 & 11 April 2020. We would like to thank all competing bands, dancers, soloists, stall holders, sponsors and volunteers who contribute to making this event what it is and we apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause. I will be working to contact all bands, solo players, stall holders, sponsors etc in the coming days to make arrangements for repayment of any fees etc that have already been transferred. 21.01.2022 Well we finally managed an event for 2020. The Maclean Pipe Band have played at all the local nursing homes just before Christmas for numerous years. Uniting Caroona Yamba, Mareeba, Maclean, Whiddon Group, Maclean and Bethesda in Maclean. This year the day marked our only performance as a band due to the pandemic. We also managed to catch up for a few light refreshments last night. Well earnt as one part of the day reached 35. One behalf of Maclean Pipe Band we would like to wish you all the very best for Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in 2021.

01.01.2022 The Maclean and District Pipe Band are conducting a fundraiser of tartan glasses cases. These cases are made of authentic Maclean of Duart tartan. Which is the tartan the band wears.They are lined with black fabric that you can clean your glasses with. The cost is $10.00 per case. You can order your cases by messaging the band, commenting on the band Facebook site or seeing a band member. They can be collected at Maclean Gathering or BBC competition. Please support our band.
01.01.2022 No words can describe the loss and sorrow we feel with the passing of our Pipe Sergeant Alistair Wallace on Wednesday night. If you can, please join us this Wednesday to remember him and give support to his family. RIP
