08.01.2022 The year of social distancing couldn't stop us from having our concert! It was all because of the wonderful staff and students and their families that made it all possible. A huge thank you to Sandy, Tianne and Bronwyn for your continued care and nurturing of all our students. It was tough in many ways, but we soldiered on and gave the students their chance to shine. I couldn't do it without you all! To our wonderful student teachers and DanceStep Students, Ella, Skye,... Ashley, Hannah, Bethany, Georgie, Isla and Daeja, and to Kailah, Gabby, Tana and Ian (I hope I didn't miss anyone), who were marvellous with the younger groups, marshalling and assisting in so many ways, thank you! You make wonderful role models for the younger students and I couldn't be more proud of you all! To Duncan, Nicole, Skye, Nash and Braden on light and sound. A credit to you all for your patience and creativity. Thank you. To the costume ladies - Ann, Tina, Janelle, Sarah - thank goodness for recycling! What a great job! And to Jacqui from Kane's Sport and Leisure for providing such amazing service! To all the parent helpers. You know who you are and I can't thank you enough. Big thank you to Bec L, Tina, Sarah and Carly for helping my girl get ready when I couldn't. To our great MC, Norman, for all the stress I put him through. This year was particularly hard with all the restrictions and he was tasked with a formidable job along with Jo, and Jacqui M downstairs, keeping tabs on numbers and monitoring sanitising. Thank you so much! To all parents - you have the most amazing kids! It has truly been hard for you all, not being able to come into the studio and I've missed seeing you all at pick up and drop off. Norman now knows you all better than I do Thank you so much for being so supportive and encouraging throughout this year. It is greatly appreciated. Thank you to these lovely people for their donations to our raffle! Janet Lloyd for her beautiful quilt, Melissa Mulder Tupperware, Tiffany Rae Scentsy, Julie Innes from Repco, Jo Luland from Mitre 10, Sasha Martin Nutirmetics, Jessica Wright Hair Care, Kylie and Matt Peterie from The Bake House Yamba, Toni and Dave at Lower Clarence Stationery, Daeja Parker Jewellery, Alex Karstens wine. We have some very happy recipients of these prizes, although Norman is terrible disappointed he didn't win the hair care products and a voucher from The Bake House! To Adam Hourigan and David and Su for all your hard work taking photos and filming. We appreciate it very much! And we couldn't have done it without the wonderful students that we are so lucky to have in our studio. They are all unique and we love watching them grow and achieve. We are looking forward to seeing you all this week in class. We know you will be so excited and be ready to work towards our next goal. Photo credit: Adam Hourigan

03.01.2022 Getting our Christmas groove on!!

02.01.2022 In a world full of restrictions and social distancing, sometimes you just need that someone by your side. Our Gold Medal Trio, Isla, Eva and Karla danced heart and soul to Standing With You by Guy Sebastian. A song that certainly resonated this year and caused a few blurry eyes for those watching! "Instead of telling you you'll be alright, I'm just gon' be that someone by your side." ... Keep an eye on your friends. Support them and encourage them Help them to be comfortable in their own skin knowing they are worthy. We are all unique and should be celebrated for who we are. Photo credit: Adam Hourigan
