03.01.2022 Sunday 21st Ladies / Girls adventure ride. With all this rain about. ... It's time to try something a bit different to riding the Kalateenee MTB trails. Unfortunately we had to cancel last Sunday's women’s ride due to the rain which affects the trails, but we are still on schedule to go ahead with a mini adventure ride. The weather has been too wet to allow us to do a ride to the limestone kilns, but we have a nice little back up plan that will be just as enjoyable. Details are: * Time: 8am * Start/Finish location: Gladstone * Meeting point: Outside Gladstone Police Station (Kinchela Street) * Route option 1 - ~35km loop around Old Station Road/Verges Creek/Belmore River * Route option 2 - ~18km out and back from Gladstone to Verges Creek along Old Station Road * Terrain - A mixture of low traffic bitumen and gravel roads * Supplies to bring - water and snacks to have along the ride and afterwards Both routes are mostly flat, not technical, suited to any level of fitness or ability and unlikely to be severely affected by excessive rain. We will assess the weather conditions on the morning of the ride and if deemed not suitable with a need to cancel, we will notify everyone. If you have any questions or feedback in the meantime, don't hesitate to contact us via Facebook or email. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.
