25.01.2022 The Tribute to the Tree exhibition opens at MIAC this Saturday 7th November with guest speaker Ted Upton! 24.01.2022 The exhibition opening featuring the works of Faye Benge and Rod Bailey is on at MIAC this Saturday 28th November from 1pm to 3pm.

23.01.2022 The weather forecast is looking great for our MIAC Christmas Picnic Market this Sunday 15th November. Around 30 stalls will be set up from 10am to 3pm, so come along and browse all of the beautiful art & craft items created by members of MIAC. A great opportunity to purchase locally made Christmas gifts! Bring along a picnic lunch or pick up some takeaway from one of our island eateries. Also, best to bring a blanket to sit on as there will be limited tables and chairs. There will be coffee, tea, cold drinks and sweets available to buy from MIAC on the day. 21.01.2022 MIAC wishes to advise that due to the Queensland Government directive to lockdown the greater Brisbane area, including The Redlands, from 6pm today, Friday 8th until 6pm Monday 11th, MIAC will be closed until Tuesday 12th. Please stay home and stay safe.

21.01.2022 Here’s a great initiative for local creative folk to have some fun with! Art my Word is a fundraising literary art exhibition curated by the Macleay Island Community Library and the exhibition will be held at MIAC. The official opening will be Saturday 23rd January at 2pm.

21.01.2022 The Monochrome Exhibition opening is Saturday 8th May at 1.30pm. The theme for this year is RED and we can’t wait to see how all of the contributing artists have utilised this colour! Also, we’re putting a call-out for anyone on the island who has a drone and would be willing to take some footage for MIAC during the opening event. If you’re able to help please contact MIAC. It would be greatly appreciated!
