25.01.2022 We hope you're all keeping happy and healthy in these crazy times! To all 2020 members, please keep an eye on your inbox over the coming days for details on the club refund process for 2020. With Yarra Junior Football League season now officially abandoned, the committee met last night to finalise our plans, which we will email shortly. The league will also be sharing a similar update. It's certainly not the way we hoped 2020 would look, but the Eagles will be flying again ASAP, and we look forward to you being there with us!

16.01.2022 12 months ago today, Macleod JFC broke a Yarra Junior Football League Premiership drought by taking out the Under 11 and Under 13 flags. We could never have imagined that we wouldn't play another game the following year! While we haven't been able to add new football accomplishments and memories in 2020, huge thanks to Tom Barca for writing a great article about last years Under 13 Premiership. This wasn't just 1 win that defined the team - it was years of work, effort, and... mateship. 14.01.2022 COVID-19 Update An exciting announcement by Premier Daniel Andrews today with up to 10 people allowed to participate in sporting activities, with social distancing in effect. Player and Community welfare is paramount at MJFC. We will be working with the YJFL this week on what this means for our club. More details to follow as we have them. Stay safe! #stayingfit4footy

14.01.2022 We were saddened during the week to learn of the passing of MJFC Life Member, Maurice Meehan. Maurie played a key role in the growth of the club, having coached the under 14s to a Premiership in 1975. After being awarded Life Membership in 1977, he served as President from 1978-1980. Aged 86 when he passed away, Maurie loved the club, and continued to support the juniors and watch their achievements until last year. We are so thankful to Maurie for the work he did to help... build the great club we have today, and our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends. Vale Maurie Meehan.

13.01.2022 It was cold and wet, but thats why we love junior footy! Thanks to Banyule Junior Football Club and St Mary's Greensborough Junior Football Club for the practise matches today. We always enjoy a kick with the neighbours, and cant wait for round 1 of the Yarra Junior Football League season next week!

04.01.2022 Important Update The MJFC Committee is working closely with the YJFL, AFL Vic and Banyule City Council to plan a safe return to footy training. Under the current restrictions, training CANNOT recommence yet. We appreciate this is a frustrating and uncertain time for everyone, but our MJFC Community safety is paramount. We will keep everyone updated as the changing situation unfolds.

03.01.2022 Great to have a brand new defibrillator installed Macleod Park to help protect the health and safety of all players and visitors to the football and Macleod Cricket Club. While it’s an amazing machine, let’s hope it doesn’t need much use!
