25.01.2022 Hi to all our members, we hope you had a happy and safe Easter. We would like your input if we should write a letter to Jaala Pulford regarding when they will lift the ban on fishing. With all the same social distancing rules now, 1.5m apart, only fish with people in your household, your local waters only. About 50km. We all know the benefits of fishing and Jaala would to, so the club would just like your input on weather or not to write a letter to at least get a time frame on when they would lift the ban, please leave a simple yes or no in the comments.

20.01.2022 Well the spring weather has been a welcome site to a lot af anglers as the weather warms up and so does the fishing. Cairn Curran is running hot for yellas and redfin bobbing worms and yabbies around the trees. Also the Loddon river below Laanecoorie and Bridgwater are fishing well .
18.01.2022 In the last 2 weeks there has been some good numbers of fish released in our local waters around Maryborough. Fisheries releasing 10,000 Rainbow trout into Tullaroop & 2,000 into Goldfields res including 200 over 40cm.

12.01.2022 We had a good weekend at Taylor’s Lake although not a lot of legal fish caught. There were some legal size yellas caught & some undersized cod & carp. Overall a good weekend away with the club.
11.01.2022 As we have a few weeks of cod fishing left before cod closing on the 1st September there are some good fishing spots close to home that hold big cod. Loddon River, Laanecoorie & Cairn Curran, fishing bait would be a good option with cheese or chicken. For those wanting to chase trout Talbot res, Tullaroop and Teddington res are all worth a go. Don Rayner with some quality Redfin from Tullaroop last weekend trawling lures. Happy Fishing and stay safe.
09.01.2022 Some nice yellas getting about in the area of late with Cairn Curran and the Loddon river both producing good numbers of fish over the 50cm mark. Worms and yabbies being the best bait.
08.01.2022 We had a good turn up for our comp at Mulwala. The weather wasn’t kind to us with 30km winds, but we still managed to find some good fish. There were 12 legal size cod caught. Winners for the weekend comp at Lake Mulwala: Greg Streets won longest cod & second longest cod with a 76cm & 67.8cm. John Rivett won third longest cod with a 67cm.... Imogen Dukker won the juniors with a 57cm cod. No yellowbelly & no carp caught. See more

03.01.2022 To all Maryborough Angling Club members we are having our A.G.M on Wednesday night at 7pm at the clubrooms, outside, due to COVID restrictions . Membership will be due as we can start having some comps, you can pay and pick up your membership cards on the night. Hope to see you there.
