24.01.2022 Today we remember those that lost their lives, their homes, their properties, their loved ones, and their animals, and gratefully thank all those who worked tir...elessly to bring an end to the devastation on that day, and in the immensely difficult days that followed. The people, communities and landscapes of Victoria were forever changed that day. We stand with those who with great hope and courage are still grieving and recovering, and acknowledge those who continue to work with affected individuals and communities. Together, we remember. 24.01.2022 Very sad to report on the passing of a second FFM firefighter. This evening it has been confirmed that a firefighter has lost their life working on a fire in th...e Omeo area. Our thoughts and condolences are with their family and friends. Every firefighter tonight will all feel the pain of losing yet a member of our firefighting family. This has been a very tough season across Australia, we have lost far too many lives, and it's only January. Rest In Peace. See more

Sam has been described as a very dedicated Firefighter and a very admired young man in is community. We wish to convey our sincere condolences to his family, friends and fellow firefighters.
