23.01.2022 We NOW DO BOARDING! We are very excited to share that Macquarie Veterinary Clinic Windsor has taken over the management of Acacia Lodge Boarding Kennels at 204 Carrington Road Londonderry. There is only one reason behind running these kennels. To give every dog and cat the best care when their parents are on Holidays and the parents can relax and rest assured that their fur baby is in the best hands. Our Vet Nurses are onsite every day making sure each of the guests is in the best physical and mental health. We have a 1acre leash free private park where the pups have a run. Our kennels are spacious, air conditioned and have large outdoor runs. Please check our website to get a better idea of our services and facilities on https://www.acacialodge.com.au/

22.01.2022 COVID-19 Update! Dear clients, thank you for your patience and cooperation during this difficult time. We are currently open as normal, with additional protocols in place to assist in reducing the impact of COVID-19 to you and our staff so we can all continue to care of our selves and our fur babies.... If possible, please phone us to make an appointment prior to proceeding to the clinic on 4587 7490. Please also pre-order your pet’s food and medication so we can have them ready for you in advance. You are also welcome to pay over the phone. To assist in social distancing, we ask that only one person per pet attend the hospital if possible and that you maintain an appropriate distance between yourself and other clients or staff. ( we do understand sometimes children can not be left alone at home so if children are with you,it’s even more important to follow the social distance) Please check the waiting room is empty before entering and use the available hand sanitizer when you arrive. Once the nurse has noted your arrival, please occupy one of the seats marked out whilst you are waiting to be seen by one of our vets. Please do not enter the clinic if: You are under quarantine or self-isolating You have travelled overseas in the last 14 days You have been in contact with someone who has a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 You have any of the following symptoms: Fever Cough Shortness of breath Sore throat If any of the above applies to you, please phone us for further assistance so we can discuss the appropriate plan to be able to attend to your pet. Thank you for your continued understanding and support. We will get through this together. Please stay safe and make sure the pets are safe.

13.01.2022 Arthritis in cats: Time flys by and your little fluff ball is suddenly looking older. With the winter season approaching lots of older animals are in pain with arthritis. In cats the symptoms can be overlooked as cats are elusive and secretive animals. Studies have shown that 90% of cats over 12 years and 61% of cats over 6 years show evidence of arthritis. Most common signs are less grooming, does not like being picked, increased sleeping, hesitant to jump and increased aggression. If your cat is showing any of those symptoms it’s time for a medical check up so you can make an informed decision what approach to follow regarding their nutrition and medications including anti arthritis injections.

09.01.2022 Our beautiful patient Armani just had a major surgery but recovering well and trying to lick his wounds. Thanks to his mum Conina who made this soft collar for him and showed us how to make it. Armani is handling this collar much better than the normal Elizabethan collar.

06.01.2022 Messing with horses! This poor German Shepard made the mistake of annoying a horse and got his teeth knocked out. The teeth couldn’t be saved and had to be extracted but fortunately no jaw fracture. The gun was sutured and should heal ok.
