23.01.2022 I'm incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful and support woman in my life. I had some concepts in mind for future shoots that I really wanted to test and who was the first to put there hand up? This perfect little lady. I've started work on my showreel and I'm so happy to be able to use so many of my 'proof of concepts' as some of my favourite shots of the year. Shot on RED Epic with a single overhead source bounced into the ceiling and then diffused once.

23.01.2022 When shooting my last project, time and budget constraints simply did not allow for a PL Macro lens for the RED to get the final key pack shot of the ad. So instead I opted to do a pick up shoot day and use the Blackmagic 4k with a frankenlens comprising of a beautiful Takumar 55mm 1.8, a screw mount to ef adapter and various macro stacking tubes. This was as much an experiment for me as it was a throwback to my product photography background and I have to say I'm incredibly happy with the results. I may even post a separate video just for the pack shots. It just goes to show, sometimes the answer isn't always that 30 thousand dollar camera or the 10 thousand dollar lens. A bit of trouble shooting and creative adapting can often give an unexpected outcome.

23.01.2022 Did a shoot collaboration with the best dude @nathanhockridge a little while back for @eyeker1 and I have to say im super happy with how it turned out. Collaboration can seriously bring out the best work!

22.01.2022 Showreel coming soon! With 3 huge projects in pre production already I cannot wait to hit the ground running in 2018 and take all the knowledge I've gathered in the last 2 years and put it on the screen. 22.01.2022 It's finally happening. My 2017 showreel is DONE! I'll be posting it live tomorrow and it would meen the absolute world to me if you could take 1 minute 20 seconds out of your busy day to check it out. Following on from that, I will be releasing a handful of previous not seen projects, and I can't wait to dive right back into it in 2018!

21.01.2022 Doing some speed ramping tests with paint in water, shot on the RED Epic. Looking forward to putting this together in a long form clip that I've been working on for a few weeks now. Assisted once again by my awesome partner Kate.

19.01.2022 Wrapping up the final shots for the @williamstrouch watches! It's been so exciting to bring this all together in the end. With 9 days left of film school, I have to say this commercial has been my best work to date. Bring on next year!

19.01.2022 Getting some hands on time with the @panavisionofficial DXL 2 today was absolutely amazing. So many tools to assist Cinematographers and there 1st AC's in push the boundaries of film making. They really have created a tool that simply gets out of the way and allows the quality shine through. Can't wait to get this onto a set.

18.01.2022 Spent the day doing camera tests and running this beautiful rig through its paces for a short film I'm AC'ing on next week for my good friend @theriddell. Running the Arri Alexa and the new Zeiss CP.3's with a full swag of goodies to play with.

17.01.2022 When you have access to a stunning hotel room and a killer RED camera, why stop at shooting 1 project? My stunning partner @kateellenf and I spent a few hours after wrapping on the William Strouch watch ad shooting another boudoir short. Can't wait to release this fun project too and work on more like this in the future.

16.01.2022 I got my first gopro about 6 years ago, a hero 2. I used it twice and was so disappointed in the footage I sold it. @gopro has come a LONG way since then and I've been finding myself saying "how sick would this look on a gopro" all over again. Initial tests done, and I can safely say this little guy will have a long standing place in my bag.... My hope is to make some BTS content with this little guy and share some different perspectives during my photo and video adventures.

13.01.2022 I absolutely love working on projects like this. A collaboration between one of my favourite, incredibly talented artists @daveolteanu and my machine of a partner Kate. 7 hour sitting was a marathon haul for both Dave and Kate, and were all excited to finish this up in a few weeks.

12.01.2022 It blows me away that I can actually make a living doing what I love. It took me a little longer to find my passion than some, but now that I have, I cannot imagine doing anything else. 10.01.2022 Written and Directed by @linnlagergren, 'Flipped' has to have been the most positive and enjoyable experience filming a short film so far. A light-hearted coming of age story focusing on the relationship between a tomboy girl becoming a woman and her goofy father struggling with who his daughter has become. This film was well out of my comfort zone, a bright and airy feel set in the 90's couldn't be further from my style but I have to say, from start to finish, I have never felt more relaxed and on the same page with a director as I did with this film. I'm so excited to see this come to life and see what we've been able to create. Working with people that genuinely appreciate the work involved is such a rewarding experience, and I look forward to many more films like this one.

08.01.2022 It was so great to get back into shooting live shows again with the mighty @yourbaroness. It never ceases to amaze me when one of you favourite singers sounds even better live than on recording and @aperfectmonster is definitely one of those performers. Thanks to @heavy_mag for the chance to start live shows again after a year on the bench. Can't wait to show you all what's coming up.

08.01.2022 Took on my first ever commercial the other day donning both the Director and D.o.P hats in what has turned out to be my favourite piece of work to date. 07.01.2022 Texture and darkness are 2 things I've always loved in photography and it's played a big roll in the way I choose to light my images. Histograms and light meters are great, but there is nothing wrong with knowing the 'rules' and breaking them. Even the highlights on this image show as 2 stops under exposed and it's a look I love.

07.01.2022 My final college project is done! And I honestly have to say I've learnt so much in the last 2 years. Mostly about who I am as a creative and about how I like to work. I can't wait to hit the ground running next year and get to work! . Thank you to my amazing crew @theriddell and @amir_kamrane. My wonderful actor @michaelgrocholsky and my incredibly supportive partner and production manager Kate. Thank you also to @williamstrouch for supplying the watches for this project. Without these amazing people I would never have been able to bring this project to life. And I can safely say this is the proudest I've ever been about a final product.

05.01.2022 Spent the weekend babysitting the beautiful RED Helium 8k. Such a joy to work with, wish I could say the same for the Ronin 1 . Fingers crossed next year brings some more hands on time with the Ronin 2.

My peers and I were given a tour of his incredible grip workshop and were treated to his incredible passion for life and work. Here Lester is explaining the intricacies of how he makes the ACS cinematography award 'The Golden Tripod'. . 03.01.2022 Keen as hell to share this project @kateellenf and I worked on the other night. I've always had the idea that I wanted to do a spec Calvin Kline ad and we ended up just going with a mash up of that and the boudoir style we've been working on launching next year. Bring on 2018!

02.01.2022 Easily one of my favourite parts of working on the @williamstrouch watch ad last week was this beautiful location. We locked in the @hyattregencysydney in one of there stunning Studio Suits. The view we had looking over darling harbour was absolutely second to none, and the amazing staff there were so helpful and accommodating to the shoot. I can't wait to return again to stay longer than just one night.
