23.01.2022 Another project finished by the Macwood Group team. Turning an empty warehouse into Phoenix Pilates studio. A lot of back ground work had to be done for this project with the council, changing an empty warehouse into a gym space. This took a while but got there in the end!... The Macwood Group team and our trades fitted a new suspended ceiling with dimmable lighting, air conditioning throughout, a new front entry behind the roller door, new vinyl flooring and installation of all the gym equipment!

A sustainable fitout - this is the first retail building in the world to align with LBC, Living Building Challenge! **Quoted from the Living Future Organisation Australia website** - "The Living Future Institute of Australia, in its first collaboration with Frasers Property Australia, launched The Brickworks Living Building Challenge design competition. Based in Burwood East, Melbourne, it was Australias first Living Building Challenge design competition, and the first in the world that focused on a retail centre." A fantastic opportunity and another great project from the Macwood Group team!

15.01.2022 CAE CAE Australia contracted Macwood Group to update their new Australian head office. This included complete design and construction for 200 + staff. The new site is a heritage-listed building in the first industrial area of Homebush, NSW.... The heritage listing made it particularly challenging when designing the fit-out with various restrictions to the building. The building has an amazing atrium ceiling, with the natural light coming in a key element of the design. The open plan workstation areas are designed to utilize the natural light, providing a nice environment for the staff. This fit-out had to stay in line with the global design criteria which included: Reception desk, waiting area, self-registration tablet stand, audiovisual screens for corporate videos display Customer area with self serve kitchen, works tables and couches, charging points for phones, laptops etc Conference rooms, small meeting rooms, breakout staff areas for informal meetings Open plan workstations with set areas for teams
