19.01.2022 LOOKING FOR YOUR THOUGHTS "Zaidee's School Holiday Mad Cow Program" I am thinking of running this event as a one day event only for school holidays for Kids only.... One day only. Date - Friday 3rd April. Time - 10am to 2pm only. Over 40 plus obstacles on the day. Cost $20 per child plus insurance at $2.50 per child. Ages 5years to 17years only for this event. Adults to supervise and help at the obstacles can run free. The course will be the main obstacle area only - nothing at Kidstown and very little mud if any at all. Course would be 2ks only and kids can run it as many times as they like on the day between 10am and 2pm. Note - No medals - No shower truck - One water station. Each parent must sign waiver for the child on the day before running the course. Cash on the day only at the gate - no credit cards due to no power on course. Start line and first obstacle is the Half and Full Pipe. ========================================= If I get 200+ yes in comments for this post, then I will go ahead - less than 200 it is a no go event due to cost. I will make the call when it gets to 200 yes or by Friday 20th March. Please share share share......... ========================================== See more

10.01.2022 The count down is back on for the 2021 Mad Cow Mud Run. Lock the date in Saturday 27th Feb 2021. 228 days to go til these young men get to wear their tutu's once again.
09.01.2022 Lets hope come Saturday 27th Feb 2021 life will be back to normal and we will have a massive event once again. I am capping the tickets for 2021 once again - next year we will have 1000 kids tickets and 500 adult tickets for sale only. Tickets will go on sales from Friday 2nd October 2020. Please note I will have just 2 weeks of early bird specials when tickets go on sale so you better be fast and lock in the dates when they do go on. A new medal is in the design phase and e...veryone will be getting the same size medal for 2021. It will be our best medal yet I feel. Also with great feed back the adults course will be 7ks in 2021 due to feedback and also logistics in building obstacles at the far end of the course to cover the full 9ks. I will have more improved obstacles as also asked for in the adults course for 2021. Also the half calf 6ks turn around is no longer - saying that no one took the short cut home as it was over the past years. See more
08.01.2022 As a heads up I will now be waiting till the end of October 2020 to make a call to see if we are able to run Mad Cow Mud Run on the set date being Sat 27th Feb 2021. Tickets were to go on sale as from 1st October 2020 but due to the restriction that are currently in place there is no way this event could happen at this point of time as you can fully understand. Until the state government take all restriction off, only then can I review this event. We will have an event in 2021 it just may not be on the current date at this stage.
07.01.2022 What was your favorite obstacle at Mad Cow Mud Run this year and why? PS - we had 81 obstacles this year - I think an Australia record for an obstacle course for sure.
07.01.2022 When you receive an email back from a guy who supports and helps young kids in Kyabram, then it gives me a great deal of satisfaction in what else the Mad Cow Mud Run does on reflection than just raise funds and awareness for Zaidee. Below is part of an email from Mitchell Bull a police officer in Kyabram who runs a the Blue Light Team email me the below details yesterday and I just had to post this up, please have a read below. ========================================== The ...Kyabram Blue Light Team had been looking forward to this event since the end of January. We ended up with 19 kids in years 5 through 11 at 5 different schools coming together to run in the team. There was some fantastic resilience and teamwork demonstrated by individuals that we had never seen in that environment before. To give you an example when we had out little team briefing before the run the one of eldest brought up at the end after my teamwork chat and said oh just so everyone knows two of us will set the pace and the other two will be at the end so we can all complete the obstacles and help if needed, this is from year 11 students putting themselves out there to help 11 year old or kids in grade 5! Just so you know they all finished with smiles and there were cheers and and hugs with their new mates, parents, grandparents and carers purely from being proud and pushing themselves, some almost to their limit. For a group that didn't really know each other to achieve this as a team was a huge accomplishment and for this result at the end seeing some young people and knowing their backgrounds react like this was a proud moment and a huge accomplishment. If you have a great back story around the Mad Cow Mud Run, then please send it to me and I will be happy to share your story as well.
07.01.2022 Hello all - well the last day in October and I said I will give you an answer to our 2021 March Mad Cow event. Due to covid and not knowing if and when we are allowed to have any mass gatherings - this event will now pushed into October 2021 all going well - a new date is yet to be confirmed but likely to be either the 3rd or 4th Saturday in October 2021 at this stage. This is devastating for Zaidee's as this is our largest fundraiser of the year and just another major event ...that we have had to cancel due to covid. This is now our 8th event cancelled since covid started. So lets hope October 2021 bring new hope and new opportunities to allow events like Zaidee's Mad Cow Mud Run to run once again. Note that if we do run an event in October 2020 we will also run in another event in Feb 2022 to bring it back to a normal year of calender's events for Zaidee's. Good news is that you will be able to run the Mad Cow Mud Run twice in 4 months. But wait there is more - stay tune to next weeks announcement that I hope everyone can support for February 2021.
06.01.2022 Sadly... we have had to cancel
04.01.2022 If you wish to leave any comments, thoughts or any other feedback from last weekend Mad Cow Mud Run then I welcome them.
