25.01.2022 Late night vote means late night scoot

24.01.2022 Early voting is now open! You can vote across four booths in our Kurrajong electorate at Dickson, Civic, and Manuka. If elected, I promise to always stand up for working Canberrans. Check out how to vote for me in the comments!

21.01.2022 Back out with Andrew Barr this morning talking to Canberrans about delivering the next stage of light rail through the inner south to Woden.

21.01.2022 Huge news today: $33m to build new classrooms and specialised teaching spaces at Narrabundah College.

19.01.2022 This is *such* good news. I’m particularly excited about the dragon boat facility. I’m so glad an ACT Labor will deliver it. This has come up in my campaign more than I had expected and I can’t wait to call everyone back who has been asking for it!

19.01.2022 Pedestrian upgrades in Reid! I’ve been doorknocking in Reid the last few weeks and pedestrian infrastructure is definitely an issue that has come up. I’m so pleased about today’s announcement. A re-elected Labor Government will invest $500,00 in suburban upgrades in Reid as part of an extension of the Age Friendly Suburb program.... Improvements could include completing missing path connections, installing crossings and ramps and will be determined in consultation with the local residents. This is part of our commitment to improving facilities and amenities across our suburbs while creating and protecting jobs for Canberra.

14.01.2022 Now I don’t want to make this a pawlitical post but some days on the campaign trail can be ruff. Meeting this pupper Ballie made it all worth it today. He tells me it’s not impawsible that I’ll get elected! I’m told that today is Dogs in Politics Day! I think every day should be dogs in politics day!

13.01.2022 The ANU’s ‘recovery plan’ involves cutting 465 jobs and outsourcing work. Canberra is a public service town. It’s also a University town. To attack ANU staff and students like this is to take a sledgehammer to Canberra when we can least afford it. The path to recovery will not be paved with cuts and insecurity. ANU work must be done by ANU workers with ANU pay and conditions. #ResistCutsAtANU... Follow NTEU ACT Division for more on this campaign.

11.01.2022 I’m stoked to have Raj’s support this election. I couldn’t do this without union members like Raj backing me. If I’m elected, I’ll always have your back.

11.01.2022 Our Nurse Led Walk-In Centres are amazing! Last night my partner burnt her hand cooking dinner and they saw her within 5 minutes and sorted her out. Tonight we’re heading back to change the dressing. All free. If you elect an ACT Labor government, we’ll build a brand new centre for the inner south, too.

11.01.2022 Voting opens tomorrow! Find your nearest polling place here: www.voteearlyact.com.au

11.01.2022 I am so proud of ACT Labor’s announcement today of providing brekkie and lunch to kids who need it most. I am genuinely disgusted and shocked by Candice Burch’s position on this. This is clearly someone who has never gone hungry or seen a classmate struggling to concentrate because they didn’t get brekkie. No child can learn on an empty tummy. ... This is yet another example of the Liberals not representing Kurrajong’s values. It’s time for Candice to go.

This is all about reskilling and upskilling Canberrans as part of our recovery. Get amongst it.

10.01.2022 We know that outsourcing doesn’t work. Come along tomorrow to show your support for ANU staff and students that are fighting back against cuts.

10.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that has already voted for me. Find your early voting location here: www.voteearlyact.com.au

09.01.2022 Today cleaners at Calvary Public held a protest at the front entrance. They have been offered a 5 cent per hour pay rise. This is insulting and a disgraceful way to treat those that have worked so hard to keep us all safe during COVID. I stand in solidarity with these United Workers Union members. Sign the petition here: www.uwu.org.au/calvary

08.01.2022 Vale Susan Ryan. Susan’s work implementing the Sex Discrimination Act, amongst many other achievements, was trail blazing. Without Susan Ryan, we would not have the opportunities we have today.... We have truly lost a giant of the Labor Party and feminist movement.

08.01.2022 Happy Mean Girls Day. (Also, 14 days until Election Day)

07.01.2022 I’m so proud that Katy Gallagher has endorsed me for the seat of Kurrajong this election. Today we were out in Lyneham talking to locals about voting opening on Monday. Not long to go now! Find your early voting location here: voteearlyact.com.au

06.01.2022 I’ll be out in Ainslie tomorrow talking to parents and the community about upgrades to our local schools. This election, vote Labor for great public education.

06.01.2022 Andrew Barr and I braved cold this morning to chat to locals about extending the light rail, creating 6000 jobs for Canberrans. ACT Labor promised light rail. ACT Labor delivered light rail.

03.01.2022 Between now and October 17, you can vote to keep Canberra the place we all love. Check out where to vote: www.voteearlyact.com.au

01.01.2022 Big Canberra Battery ACT Labor’s Big Canberra Battery will deliver at least 250MW of battery storage - ensuring lower electricity prices and a more stable and resilient electricity grid. For context, the South Australian battery is only 150MW. ... This will be a distributed network of batteries across the city. As a combined network, this battery system will address network constraints, enable more Canberrans to have solar and shorten the pay-off period for domestic solar systems.
