17.01.2022 it’s been awhile since I’ve said a big hello on the gram posts, so BIG HELLO I’m the Jade behind Made By Miss Jade. I’m 38 and feeling great. super content with my beautiful life however everyday missing the wonderful presence of my lady love, my Mum. I live and love a little bit extra for her. I started Macraming back in March 2017 and haven’t looked back since. i am on a little pause at the moment from making new large designs as I’ve been preparing for our move to our ...new house...which was due in June...then September...maybe now October, possibly november but that’s building a house for you. 07.01.2022 Wind it back Wednesday....to November 2017. It was one month away to the first anniversary of my Mum’s passing and I was well deep in grief. sometimes it’s difficult to look back at these photos because the feeling of overwhelming pain and sadness comes shooting back but it’s also important to acknowledge that’s where I needed to be. I never pushed my grief away, as intense as it was , an important part of this unfortunate forever journey. I was getting professional help in h...ow to manage these feelings as I still do to this day. Macrame came in to my life as a form of creation yes, but also as a form of therapy. The repetition kept my mind restful, it allowed some time away from the intense feeling of loss and sadness. and making with the coloured cotton brought some much needed sunshine. every time I achieved a new piece, new design, I knew that Mumsie would be proud of me and alongside me with every knot. 07.01.2022 Hello and welcome to my new MBMJ studio at our new home. this is my haven, my very safe space to make + create in and let the good creating vibes roll in. technically it’s our spare bedroom....but until the drop down bed is made and inserted into the cupboard....I have very quickly and easily found space for all my makes, cottons, earrings and supplies my heart is so content in this space. There is so much natural light and the views passed ‘Nannie’s Garden’ through to ...all the trees is consistently delightful. Im rather covered in many moles and freckles, so regular checks for me have always been on the cards. My latest one a few weeks ago ended with the Doc removing a mole on my back to send off for a biopsy.
