24.01.2022 This versatile meal is the bomb! Vegan Grilled mushroom with homemade sweet potato dip/purée As you can see you can add some rocket and a bit of smoked salmon for some protein to make it a pescatarian meal for lunch or dinner :) The sweet potato dip contains 1 medium sweet potato, cumin, dried coriander, turmeric, paprika, cinnamon and some water to blend it - you can use coconut yoghurt instead of water if you prefer. ... Absolutely delicious as a vegan meal or with the salmon, Im enjoying this right now @ Niddrie, Victoria, Australia See more

24.01.2022 Happy Hump day! This was last nights dinner showcasing cucumber and potato This was grilled salmon with potato salad and cucumber salad. I was craving some comfort carb food in the form of potatos as I had been for a long run and also was having those period cravings so voila. I steamed salmon and topped it with dill (salmon will help with reducing inflammation post exercise as well as reducing period pain) the potato salad was easy, boil potatoes until tender the...n mix through a dressing containing - Dijon mustard, chives, apple cider vinegar and olive oil. Put it in the fridge for an hour after to cool it down. The cucumber salad I thinly sliced a couple of continental cucumbers and a red onion, I dressed it with apple cider vinegar, water, salt and a tad bit of coconut sugar. Mixed it through and topped it with chopped dill. Again place it in the fridge for an hour to chill. Not super duper healthy but after a long run my body needed refueling Also it tasted delish and was easy to make See more

All it had was vegan edamame spaghetti, 1 x tomato, leafy mix, 1/2 cucumber, extra virgin olive oil, guacamole and lactose free cheese. So easy so quick and so tasty! No need for takeaway or throwing away last bits of food on holiday when you take a few minutes to think! If I had some eggs, beans, smoked salmon or tuna I would add it for some more protein

18.01.2022 Boiled egg rolled in dukkah One of my favourite snacks for on the go or simply at home. I love it as you can prep it the night before so for those busy workers or mums out there no excuses for what protein rich low carb snack to grab. Its actually really filling and will keep you satisfied from breakfast through to lunch. I include it on most weight loss or exercise food programs and food plans for my patients. Boiled eggs are full of good fats for your skin, inflammatory conditions, cardiovascular function, protection of nerve endings, hormone production and also its protein rich source assists with maintaining blood glucose throughout the day thus helping blood sugar control. Such a simple snack with so many benefits Try it out tomorrow my health friends. Stay Happy and Healthy!

To make this, mix a can of corn kernels, a handful of shredded carrot and a packet of frozen veg (I used cauliflower, broccoli mix) in a bowl. Separately mix a can of tuna with vegan mayo then add to vegetables. All done and eat!!! You could even do this at work in the kitchen if needed its that simple! Enjoy

09.01.2022 And voila! A rocket, tomato, chilli and steamed sweet potato salad with salmon Rocket helps stimulate stomach acid helping along digestion and reducing bloating after meals. The sweet potato is so great for creating soft and formed stools that are fantastic for cleaning the colon out and complete emptying when you go to do number 2. Not only that its great for some carbs and vitamin c. Of course salmon for protein and good fats and I topped with lemon juice (again helps with digestive secretions) and a drizzle of olive oil (Some more good fats). There you have it a super cheap meal made in 10 minutes AND a I have leftover salad for tomorrow

07.01.2022 This is a not so autumn meal but as it was dinner for a 39 degree day and after being at the beach I felt like something light, refreshing and quick to make! So I made...a warm teriyaki tofu salad Easy peasy, 1. I lightly grilled 4 x asparagus stalks and 3 x broccolini stalks in a dash of teriyaki dressing. 2. Then grilled 110g tofu in teriyaki dressing. 3. Whilst tofu was grilling, I chopped up 1/4 red capsicum, 1/2 cucumber and added it to lots of spinach and rocket. 4.... Once tofu was cooked I added everything to a bowl and dressed it in a dash of olive oil. I enjoyed this with some kombucha as I felt like something sparkly on a Friday evening! Such a yummy and easy option when all you feel like getting is take away or cant be bothered cooking. Dont let your hard work be ruined by not being bothered, cooking healthy food doesnt have to be hard See more

06.01.2022 NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS X **NEW YEAR IMPROVEMENTS. Are you struggling to stick to your new year resolution already? Have you heard your mate say they are going to stop the booze so many years in a row it feels like ground hog day? Or have you decided that your new year resolution you set your self admits a perhaps tipsy night is Decembers problem? Well perhaps its time to reshape the way you think of them. I call it New Year Improvements! This method I tried out for the past f...ew weeks of January and it has proved successful so far. I am guilty of going full steam ahead on a goal then giving up so if I can stick to this I wanted to share this method and change of thought processes that has helped me to my heath followers and patients. Have a read of my blog post about this method on my website - link in bio. Tell me what you think, I am here to help and motivate you @ Ocean Grove, Victoria See more

06.01.2022 Egg, avocado, spinach, rocket, cabbage, cucumber, red onion salad Another easy, cheap, yummy dish! All you need to do is add a 1/4 - 1/2 cup of cooked brown rice or quinoa (Admittedly it doesnt look as nice in a photo with it) and it is a fully balanced meal Ingredients, a big handful of mixed leaves (shredded cabbage, rocket and spinach), 1/2 tomato, 1/2 avocado, 1/3 a red onion, 1/2 cucumber, 2 eggs and if you have olive oil dress with that but as I am out of olive oil and about to go on holiday I am using a dash of soy sauce which tastes yummy too!!! Eating healthy can be easy and although on paper it looks like a lot of ingredients and work - it really isnt I made this in just under 10 minutes

06.01.2022 Delicious easy vegan lunch salad I call it party in my tummy All it has is a couple handfuls of rocket, 1/4 purple cabbage shredded, some cherry tomatoes sliced and leftover homemade sweet potato dip from the other day (recipe of mushroom and sweet potato dip) I dressed it with some lemon juice ALTERNATE: You can add some tofu, fish or legumes for some protein.

05.01.2022 Late night working again, I got home at 9pm and could have easily opted for take out or toast with avo (which we al do occasionally) but instead reminded myself to make a quick meal. This red curry took 20 minutes to make I used pre spiraled carrot, mushroom, corn, chilli, capsicum, tofu, celery and kale with 90 second quinoa/rice, coconut cream and red curry paste. This curry was super nourishing and filling, full of antioxidants and immune nutrients perfect for a winter meal. Best part I had a shower and put laundry on the washing line within the 20 minutes @ Niddrie, Victoria, Australia

03.01.2022 This year I have been actively making an effort to reduce my negative impact on the environment by reducing my waste and using natural products. My friend @emccki posted really lovely and powerful quote recently We dont need a handful of people doing waste free perfectly, we need millions of people doing it imperfectly. Here are 8 easy ways that I have reduced my impact: 1. Invest in a kitchen composter for your food waste 2. M...ake your own beeswax food wraps 3. Take your empty household cleaning and hygiene product containers to @thesourcebulkfoods or somewhere similar to refill them with all natural products 4. Replace your toilet paper with @whogivesacraptp toilet paper 5.Replace your plastic straws with metal or bamboo straws and bring them with you 6. Dont purchase Tupperware where possible, reuse glass jars or purchase glass Tupperware 7. Order your produce from an organic online grocer that use no plastic or waste to deliver fresh, seasonal veg or visit fresh produce stores or farmers markets 8. The most obvious ALWAYS take reusable material bags and produce bags with you shopping (yes including clothes shopping) It can take time but once you start the easier it gets and its so simple. Do it for the environment, the sea and land creatures and for you and your future generations See more

03.01.2022 Hey Patients and followers, I have just arrived home from my 4 week trip to Switzerland and Finland so great news is.....CONSULTS AVAILABLE AGAIN I hope you all kept up your healthy lifestyles and your personal recommendations and plans whilst I was away (Im sure you did your best!!) I back now fresh and refreshed to give you some inspiration for your food and lifestyle! Yay! Cant wait to post for you stay tuned

02.01.2022 Are YOU okay? To all my friends, family and followers and generally anyone I meet or havent met yet. I see mental health conditions on a daily basis in clinic. It does not present the same in everyone it can be the person who looks sad but It can also be people who look super happy on the outside. This is why I put this photo in black and white - I wanted to signify and bring light as a matter of words to anyone out there that pushes through days with smiles and looking ...happy but are actually feeling dark on the inside. Mental health conditions can occur due to nutrient deficiencys, side effects of pharmaceuticals, poor diet, drugs, addictions, stress, lifestyle choices and what surrounds you, as a result of other health conditions and sometimes they can occur for what might seem no reason at all. No matter what the reason you deserve to be loved, you deserve to be hugged and you deserve to be cared for. I have personally struggled the last couple years as a result of chronic viral infections, extreme fatigue and the inability to do what I love (running) and it took ages for me to reach out to friends as I felt I shouldnt be struggling or that because of my job I must care for people and I cant be cared for. But as a result of my late night chats, hugs, hangouts with my friends and finally starting to get better I was so lucky to pull through. A best friend of mine told me once that although You can compare you life to those worse off that it doesnt mean your feelings dont deserve to be nurtured and validated and loved. Such wise words for all those out there. So what I am trying to say is that even if your a boss of a massive company, a uni student, a teenager, an elderly, a parent, someone well off or not, every single one of you can reach out for help it does NOT mean your weak. It means your strong, your strong enough to get help and feel better and happy. Love to you all, and please ask everyone what can be a life saving question ARE YOU OKAY? xxxxxx See more
