25.01.2022 What is an AMRAP? Well it stands for two things - as many rounds as possible or as many repetitions as possible. It is a workout structure that is frequently used for conditioning, where you push your body to the max within a set period of time (anywhere from 3 minutes to 60 minutes) and can be a great way to test/track your progress over time by using your first AMRAP as a starting point that you can refer back to at any stage. So for this AMRAP, we are going to perform as... many rounds as possible in a set time of 7 minutes. Our exercises we will be performing for a continuous sequence until the time expires are - 10 x barbell thrusters (or known as squat and press), 10 x burpees (chest to floor) and 10 x calories on the assault bike (or any piece of cardio equipment you have access to). Please note you can rest when you require but the time does not stop. So grab the timer, your water bottle and towel and lets get started! Don’t forget to tag me in your socials if you give this workout a go : Mads

06.01.2022 Going to the gym only 2 times a week for 52 weeks is better than 5 days a week for a month then 2 weeks off, back for 3 days again then away for a week. Consistency is key. DM me now for a complimentary 1 on 1 PT consultation

02.01.2022 Hey guys and gals! Maddie here from MDB PT. As you might be able to tell, I've been absent on the socials, I am pretty poor at posting on my business page... but I am planning to bring you all more consistent content in the next few weeks and I felt like it was time for a fresh start (aka the new page). Please see below a couple of requests in regards to the new page, which I thank you in advance for the support. I will be updating this page as I go with what services I hav...e on offer and begin to bring you more consistent content as mentioned. * Please let me know what content you want to see/know more of (eg: meal ideas, workout ideas, etc), I'd love to be able to engage as many people as possible! So the more ideas, the better * Also if you could please invite your friends/family to like this page by either hitting the invite button or tag your friends/family in this post (again thank you in advance for the support - you have know idea how much even one extra like can do or means)

29.12.2021 Do you get a little stuck at the gym and not know how to set up the rack for a squat? . Don’t worry, so did I! . Set the j hooks up at your shoulder height or just below. Rack the bar back up and test. ... . You will want a little bend in your knees while under the bar in the rack to make lifting the weight out and in easier without potentially loosing your balance. . 02.10.2021 BACK SQUAT V FRONT SQUAT . Both have great benefits - your back squat activates more hamstrings and glutes plus is easier to load up the weight on the bar as compared to a front squat which is more advance and requires a lot more mobility through the joints to keep your torso upright and will active more quads. .
