20.01.2022 Landslide - FLEETWOOD MAC We’re branching out into Country now! Looking up the history of these songs has been very enlightening! I had only ever heard the Dixie Chicks version of this song, and I’m sorry to say I know very few Fleetwood Mac songs besides this one. Still, it’s a beautiful song and I always enjoy singing it. 20.01.2022 The Man That Got Away - HAROLD ARLEN & IRA GERSHWIN And finally, a Judy Garland classic. I didn’t realise how close we were to the end of these covers! I decided to save this one for last, because it was the song I was most excited to sing, and the range of it sits smack bang in the middle of my voice - which is always nice. It’s a good day when you find a song that you feel suits your voice really well I’m tempted to say this is my favourite song she ever sang! I haven’t... seen the movie this song was written for, but I still think it’s one of the songs that really showcases the strength of her voice. In fact, her voice is one of the many reasons I admire Judy so much. I would never say mine is comparable to hers, but I will humbly say that the sound of my voice is not what you hear every day on the radio or in a musical - at least not in the lower parts of my range, so it’s nice to find artists with similar sounds. If you’ve seen watching each of these covers as I’ve been posting them, thank you for coming on this journey and I’ll see you next time I’m able to sit down and make a video!

17.01.2022 How Could I Ever Know? - THE SECRET GARDEN I have spent a long time trying to figure out what words should accompany this post, because I felt it would be wrong to pretend that everything is okay, especially with all the pain and unrest circulating on social media regarding the events of the past two weeks. I have experienced feelings of guilt, shame and helplessness - making myself believe I was less of a person because I have seen the push to contribute to the movement in... ways I am unable to in my current situation, besides educating myself and raising awareness through sharing - and even there I have not been able to fully commit myself so far. The conviction everyone has been showing and their diligence in joining this fight has been so inspiring to me and I intend to work to have that same level of conviction and diligence for this and other causes that need the world’s attention. The reason I share this song is to hopefully speak into some of the pain being felt, especially by those who have lost a loved one.
