When COVID hit, we literally lost all of our regular clients as everyone pulled back on their business, trying to keep themselves from going under. And I know many other businesses are in the same boat as we figure out where to go now. There's no denying that these stresses have made it more difficult to find happiness in the day to day. However positive psychology tells us that showing gratitude can help make us happi...er. 2 things that I am grateful for right now are: 1- The technology that allows me to stay in touch with my friends and family, even though we are separated by distance. 2- The dawn of a new day. Reminding me that there is beauty in the moments when we take the time to appreciate them. What are you grateful for today?
14.01.2022 What was your first ever job? Mine was as an icecream tester- I mean salesperson. I lived down on the Mornington Peninsula back then, and worked most afternoons/evenings over the busy summer tourist season, making waffle cones and scooping out icecream. I did this for the entire four years that I studied my double degree at university. ... I always got a free milkshake at the end of my shift, and I still love a good shake to this day! - Bek

12.01.2022 Today you'll find me mostly sorting things out around the house. With a family to take care of it is so easy to get overwhelmed and let things get out of hand. It can certainly feel like a constant battle to get on top of things! Our current project is rearranging the lounge to minimise and make it less of a toyroom and more of a family room. We've literally hacked the old, falling apart (kids pulled out all the stuffing) couch to pieces to make room for our comfy new couch that should be arriving any day! The vision of nice, new seating, and the confidence that this one won't be destroyed by our adorable children, is a great motivator! What things are you sorting out or getting on top of today?

06.01.2022 We are currently working on an end year slideshow to gift to our daughter's Prep teacher. It's been a rough year for teachers, and they have been doing an amazing job in an unusually difficult year. All the prep parents are filming a thankyou from their child, so that we can put together a gift that she can treasure forever (and all going well will produce some happy tears!) This is why I love creating these kinds of projects. The personal, unique moments that touch our lives and make someone's day, are beyond compare.
