22.01.2022 This is a great summary post that explains the cost that goes into producing pedigree animals vs a backyard bred animal. A good read for those looking to add a new furry family member to their family

18.01.2022 MISSING: SCOTTISH TERRIERS FROM PEMBERTON WA Two Scottish Terriers are missing from just outside the town of Pemberton in Western Australia, after vanishing fro...m their home in highly suspicious circumstances, nearly 1 year apart! POLLY MISSING SINCE WEDNESDAY 12TH AUGUST (FEMALE) Born 2nd April 2020 Arrived in Pemberton on June 26th 2020 Owner Contact: Marilyn Morgan 0413 196 843 Breeder Contact: Stacey Sullivan 0403 344 868 HARRY MISSING SINCE WEDNESDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 2019 (MALE) Born 2nd January 2019 Owner Contact: Marilyn Morgan 0413 196 843 Both Dogs are Microchipped and are Purebed. Someone within the WA community knows something. Someone will have a friend or a work colleague that has a new Scottie in their family, or a friend down the road. There are not many Scotties bred in Australia each year, so please consider this if you see or hear about a new Scottie. We’ve spoken with the WA Police directly and they have already been contacted by some people are taking this matter very seriously. Rewards are on offer for their safe return. If you need to make anonymous contact, please contact the Pemberton Police Station on Tel: (08) 9716 3100.

12.01.2022 Definitely not the first time Phil Astone has popped up on my radar. But just a reminder for people to steer very clear of Phil. He uses very outdated, old and cruel training techniques and once again has been exposed for his cruelty to animals.

09.01.2022 So lucky this practice is banned in Australia, however people are still trying to import dogs with cropped ears. This is barbaric mutilation all for aesthetics, and why? Who doesn’t love a floppy eared dog? The US has some catching up to do on animal welfare of cropping and docking.

06.01.2022 Heya everyone! Today's topic is something that's been highly requested, so here it is! It is an issue that I do my best to explain to people around me. I hope t...hat by sharing this post, it will help all of us to understand the Veterinary costs better. I understand that certain points may be flawed or may seem irrelevant, but as a learning vet student, this is what I have learnt over the years while gaining experience. Do look through in your free time and I hope you find this content engaging and informative I will be taking a slightly longer time for my next few posts due to upcoming exams in November, but rest assured that I'll be back to tackle your questions and learn together with all of you! 04.01.2022 Hello everyone and welcome back to semester 2! Hope everyone is still staying safe and happy amongst this COVID madness. I enjoyed a very relaxed mid-year break because I couldn’t book in any clinical placements over the break. So I spent the break reading, helping my partner move in with me and working. I also got to meet 6 adorable dingo puppies one of our friends rescues from a station up north. The parents were shot as they are pests to farmers and they get paid a bounty to kill wild dogs. However once the puppies were discovered she decided to take them home with her. They will be on their way to a dingo rescue in Sydney next week where these pups will have access to the best care possible. What did you get up to over the break?
