25.01.2022 As depressing as the weight on the bar is I’m so happy to be squatting. Injuries suck & can be very frustrating mentally. It’s important to be patient not push to far but still move, work with your body not against it when healing from an injury It’s been 3 weeks since I discovered I had popped some ribs out. It’s been pretty sore & haven’t been able to do much until end of last week. Still on the mend but getting better & able to do more Thanks @lauziecool for the enco...uragement always even if it’s 35kg @nspcentre See more
24.01.2022 Progress isn’t always the weight you lift or weight you lose Often we get caught up in only thinking progress has been made by what the scales say or how much weight is on the bar but there are many ways to track progress here a few Consistently going to the gym. Gaining more confidence. ... Learning how to do an exercise properly with good technique. Not getting as puffed & recovering quicker. More energetic. Making healthy food choices. Getting 7-9 hours good quality sleep. Drinking enough water throughout the day. Everyday day tasks are getting easier. Calling out your BS & not falling back into old habits. Positive mindset. 24.01.2022 I love to try new things & challenge myself, Especially as a coach I believe it’s super important to always try new things experience what it feels like the best way to learn & coach is through experiencing it your self. You can’t share what you don’t know & you can’t teach what you haven’t experienced. First time doing equipped bench today, it was different getting the bar to your chest was hard didn’t expect that & slightly painful but not bad pain, it’s something you hav...e to experience to understand. I actually really enjoyed it, had fun with it. First one bar path wasn’t that great but got better The most I’ve benched is 43kg so I was a bit nervous but I did it up to 55kg thanks @simonbergner_strengthcoach @waynedirk Love Chrissy’s excitement In the back ground filming hahah @nspcentre @samtekstrength
22.01.2022 Had the best day hiking through the Grand Canyon in the Blue Mountains with @tahniaravgolf. It’s the most beautiful magical place I’ve seen even with it being damaged by the fires which was sad to see but still amazing. Highly recommend going! Pretty easy hike then just over 1km of stairs to get back to car that feels never ending Definitely worth the drive!
21.01.2022 Make self care a priority Make time for yourself. mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically. Think of it like, If you had a good car you wouldn’t put shit fuel in it or not look after it. Same for yourself our bodies are our vehicles for our journey but if you don’t look after it, you will find your self broken down with time consuming & costly repairs. There are many ways to practice self care to optimise your health & wellbeing. Here are a few ways with Sleep & nutrition always being at the top

19.01.2022 Absolutely gorgeous day for a ride @pascoe_simon. The weekend has just been beautiful! Hope you all got to enjoy it safely. So grateful to be able to enjoy the sunshine kayaking Saturday at berry as well. So happy the road has reopened was a bit worried going up bald hill again would be tough but it was really good next time we will go that bit further. ... What a ride today haha. First got stopped at sea cliff bridge there was filming for something with cars. Traffic stopped at both ends they let us go first it was so weird being on there with no other cars for a while! Possibly in their filming Then got our usual coffee at the top I was so looking forward to & it was a really good coffee one minute in my had next it’s all over the ground Then on the way back get stoped again at the bridge Then going past woonona we were saying hope don’t get swooped by magpies one swoops simmo get his helmet I can’t stop laughing then I was like wait where is it?! I’m scared it’s going to swoop me & it does that’s what I get for laughing!
18.01.2022 Sled training A great bang for buck exercise, one of my favourites I like to incorporate in my clients training & programs. Sleds can be used for conditioning, strength, fat loss, rehab, recovery, sports specific training. Sleds can be programmed for different training effects & develop different energy systems with out the negative impact of lifting on strength & muscle gain it’s also low impact form of lower & upper body conditioning more joint friendly with little risk of injury. Also great for developing mental toughness! There are so many variations you can do. Sled push, sled drags backwards & forwards also lateral, sled rope pulls, sled rows to name a few. @nspcentre

17.01.2022 What would I say to my younger self. Growing up with social media highlight reels can be hard for many girls. Being your authentic self is the most amazing thing you can be . Love & embrace your body... I wish I spent all the time secretly hating my body wishing I looked like that girl in Instagram, dieting exercising to be skinny actually loving my body, embracing my body loving it for what it can do. Love your natural beauty When people say you don’t need all that make up believe them. There was a stage I wouldn't leave the house without it thought I looked horrible without. Going into my early 20's I'd spend so long on doing my hair & makeup i’d be nearly an hour or two late. I'd always have my nails done everything. Now I hate wearing makeup don't die my hair I'm confident in who I am and how I look. Believe In yourself Back yourself you know you better than anyone, you know what you want to do what you believe in. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise or hold you back. Just do it, go for it. Unfollow negativity & say no Have courage to stand up for yourself self and say no friends, relationships people in your life anything that makes you feel unworthy or causes a negative impact on your life. This used to scare me a lot I’d stay quiet & never say no, now have no trouble standing up for myself or saying no. Start strength training Honestly, this is something I wish I had started along time ago! Girls find a good coach you trust & start training It is so empowering for females gives you so much confidence learning to look after yourself, your mindset & body will transform with all the benefits of training long term.
16.01.2022 Friendship. Its funny You meet & think yup, I like this one & just do stuff with them. So grateful to have such good amazing friends Find friends that make you cute things like this picture @tahniaravgolf Friends that support you in what ever you do.... Find friends that get up super early to go on random adventures with you. Find friends that motivate you to be the best version of you. Find friends that laugh with you like I mean that uncontrollable soul cleansing tears laughter. Find friends that are happy to be your unpaid therapist with no judgment. Find friends that say message me when you get home so I know your safe. Find friends that you can talk about anything to the nothing off limits conversations even out at restaurants Life is to short for shit friends & negativity
15.01.2022 TIP if you are not a fan of the sled & need motivation to get through it. Pick a person make funny team names then race @powered_by_vegies @rhysdunn @nspcentre
15.01.2022 I truly believe beauty is who you are as a person not how you look not what you have. Often people only feel beautiful when accepted by others needing reassurance seeking external validation for how they look or what that have. When really to be beautiful is within you, accepting & owning who you are. It’s your personality, your character, how you treat others, how you speak about yourself & others.... See more
15.01.2022 @bobnshirlz squats are coming along nicely something we have been working on the second video was the first time she had done zercher squats and the first was from this morning @nspcentre
15.01.2022 sprinkle kindness everywhere You just never know the true impact you have on others around you. You never know how much someone needed that smile & hello. You never know how much someone needed that hug or talk or laugh.... You never know how much your kindness turned someone’s life around. But remember to be kind to yourself to
13.01.2022 It’s important to ask yourself what are you exposing yourself to? What are you letting in? Substances (toxins, chemicals, food, natural products) & energy(emotions, energy negative or positive, music) All have the power to heal or hurt us.... What are you using to clean your home with? what are you using on your skin & hair? what are you breathing in? what food are you eating? what light are you exposing yourself to artificial or sunlight? what thoughts are you thinking? who do your surround yourself with? what are you listening to, watching, reading?
12.01.2022 One thing I hear a lot from some of my clients & talking to people in general mainly females with this one, is the fear of going to the gym on their own this is always related to the anxiety & feeling of judgment. I get it, I completely understand the feeling! I was once that girl that was even to scared to step foot inside a gym I would make excuses as to why I thought gyms were stupid & just exercise outdoors. The first time I went to a gym was with a friend she asked me i...f I would go with her secretly I always wanted to but was to scared. I would still say gyms are stupid I’m just there for her that’s how I knew how to be there while being anxious AF not knowing what to do. There were many of times I’d get to the car park sit there wanting to go in but just couldn’t & go home. I thought to myself this is ridicules what’s stopping me going in. It was the fear of not knowing if what I was doing was right if people were judging me & then I remember what a gym is & why people are there, we all start somewhere we are all there for the same reason to better ourselves reach our goals. Some gyms can look & seem very intimidating but a good gym will be the most supportive uplifting place. I knew that if I wanted to better myself I had to do the uncomfortable work & face my fears! So I put head phones in feeling awkward anxious AF but did it anyway. When I left I felt surprisingly good just kept going & it got better each time building my confidence up then not relying on headphones to get me there. Forever great full for my friend asking me to go the gym many years ago because here we are now a fitness coach helping people through the same thing & remember no one is judging just working on themselves. You can do it, I know you can! If this is you wanting to start but a little nervous about it, reach out happy to help
11.01.2022 UPDATED TIMETABLE Our new flyer/timetable! Here it is Classes on every. single. day! See you there
11.01.2022 Are you getting enough sleep to get the most out of your training? A common thing i hear in the gym is 'I'm so tired I didn't get much sleep' Sleep has a significant impact on muscle recovery.... Lack of sleep not only decreases your energy your mood, ability to think and react, body composition goals also increases risks of injury The two main stages of sleep REM & NON REM REM sleep provides the energy to the brain that supports it during waking hours and is necessary for restoring the mind. NON-REM blood supply to muscles increases, delivering extra amounts of oxygen and nutrients for healing and growth. Muscles and tissues are rejuvenated during the non rem cycle. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep a night especially if you are looking to change body composition, increase muscle mass, be ready for your PT session. Sleep enhances muscle recovery through protein synthesis and human growth hormone release.
07.01.2022 When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone & tried something new? I’m a big believer in stepping outside your comfort zone & getting comfortable with Uncomfortable. As scary as this can be sometimes I actually love doing it I love pushing my self. This is where the magic happens, this is where growth is, this is where you learn new skills & about yourself pushing new boundaries so excitingly scary & fun. If you are to comfortable you are not growing. ... There could be some something you have always wanted to do but fear or limiting beliefs has held you back. There could be something that you never thought you would do in a million years. There could be something a friend wants you to come along for support. What ever it is just go for it! You may just end up loving it you may not but either way you will always get something valuable out of it Recently I have started all for different reasons arial yoga a dance class so out of my comfort zone actually loved it so much fun & pole fit Love them all!

07.01.2022 We hide our vulnerable side to our facade of strength ‘needing to be strong’. shutting ourselves & hearts off & the situation/s are delt with because thats the easy way & we are afraid of letting people see the real vulnerable you. Being vulnerable can be terrfying but Shuting yourself & feelings off results in shallow relationships, friendships or push people away because you dont let anyone to close. ... To have good strong relationships you have to learn to be open & be vulnerable. you need to learn to trust people will lean into you not away if you let them. you need to pull them in not push them away if you really want to connect with others & yourself. vunlnerability & expressing emotions is something i struggle with, i can be very gaurded at times & take a long time to open up to people. This is something im always working on with my self. Along the way i have learnt that It’s ok to not be strong all the time It’s ok to cry It’s ok to talk about how you feel It’s ok to tell people how you feel I’ve lernt the value of emotional connection & how similar personal experiences can mean alot to others. So I have started to share some of my personal expereinces to be more open & connect with others Even though it’s hard for me to do. I’ve learnt to talk about past experiences or current situations that make me want to shut off & burrie it under the strong facade even when your heart is pounding, guts in knots, or butterflys because thats strength thats healing thats showing parts of the real you thats vulnerability.
06.01.2022 . Eustress is stress routinely applied for positive adaptive outcomes. Distress is excessive levels of stress that causes negative adaptions & outcomes. Having a proper balance of stress helps our bodies function optimally. ... Some examples of stress can be: Low energy / Libdo Headaches Gut issues (bloating, flatulence, heart burn, gastritis, irritable colon, ulcerative colitis) Muscle aches & joint pain Reduced immunity Change in appetite Frustration, easily angered / agitated Low self esteem Increased or use of drugs & alcohol Avoidance or procrastination of responsibilities Inability to focus / brain fog Amenorrhea (absence of mensuration) Chronic fatigue Hair loss / thinning Acne, psoriasis, eczema Nail biting constant fidgeting Engaging in practices like meditation & yoga ect, are great to help reduce stress but can also be a band-aid if you are not addressing and fixing the root cause of your stress. Firstly you need to identify & reduce your biggest stress contributors; that may be relationships, work, family, too many commitments ect, Then adding in practices like yoga, journaling, mindfulness, meditation, breathing exercises are beneficial for your health & wellbeing.
05.01.2022 Bulgarians are one of my favourite lower body exercises. They incorporate your quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, core. They are Great for building strength, stability & help with imbalances. Making them a great exercise if you have limited equipment / options or don’t meet the positional demands of big lifts . A few of my favourite variations are ... Tempos for example 4-0-1-0 Count 4 seconds down 0 seconds at bottom 1 second up & repeat straight away. 1 1/4 reps do a full rep then a 1/4 rep Repeat Isometric hold & pauses For the holds at the bottom of the movement hold for 20-30seconds can also go into reps straight after = brutal For pauses pause for 2seconds at bottom of the movement. 05.01.2022 Surround yourself with people who push you, cheer for you, challenge you, appreciate you, those who make you grow.
04.01.2022 Loved this message from @mj1995 I am so proud of her she has really been putting in the work and has come along way! And This is an older video! Consistency is I just wanted to say a huge thank you for pushing and encouraging me with my fitness the last few months (well, 14months really). I know I can complain a lot when it comes to the cardio and conditioning but I am starting to notice the benefits more and more!... We had a game on Thursday night, and I even got a run out at GA! I have not been able to do that in years! Let alone at a rep level! (Even if it was just 1 quarter) and then again today we had a really tough match. If this was last year, I probably would of asked to come off... but I could feel my recovery time was quicker, and the conditioning keeping me focused. I honestly believe with you encouraging me to take up the 2 sessions a week (even if I am late), as well as the help from my coaches at training, that I have been able to add so much to my game this year, and it’s only the beginning! So thank you SO much for not quitting on me! Even when I want to quit on myself Ps..... please don’t use this against me next week... I would love to keep the vomit free streak
04.01.2022 This is a photo of a very different me a few years ago. Fixated on macro tracking, weight tracking, body scans, measurements. Thinking getting to a certain weight will make me happy & successful. Thinking being skinny & having abs means you are fit. ... It controlled my life Often this is the be all & end all for many, often this is what many think success is. But I can’t stress enough that none of those things define who you are & getting to a certain weight will not make you happy. Never give your power to anyone or anything that makes you feel unworthy. I have been through it all being in a different environment I was so fixated on being skinny under 60kg thought I wouldn’t be taken seriously unless I looked ‘skinny & toned’ with abs thought I had to post photos in bikinis & underwear like the influencers list goes on, but I didn’t end up posting them thinking I didn’t look good enough was never happy with how i looked & felt miserable. Crazy to think back on! Happiness comes from with in. Learning to love & accept who you are not a number on a scale. But I am grateful for going through this learning how to step out of it & truly love & embrace who I am & my body because I’m now able to help others going through the same thing. If you are stuck in this cycle & need help reach out I really hope that one day we will stop seeing fit as skinny abs insta influencers with skinny teas & fad diets. And see that Fit & healthy comes in all shapes & sizes, to not be scared to eat and lift heavy shit!

02.01.2022 Next time you find yourself saying I wish I looked like that or I wish I had their life.....It’s important to remember Before you start comparing yourself to others Filters, editing photos, highlights. Nearly every photo & video is edited in some way, some more than others. Some posts are not from a true authentic place more a place of fear. Instagram is a highlight reel majority only show the good bits. ... Your worth is not your following or post likes. Be ok with not posting all the time, post when aligned with you when you want to, when feels right for you, not out of fear people will unfollow or think you are boring. Don’t chase following & likes Friends you have in real life is more important that the amount of followers you have or likes you have if you get caught up in chasing meaningless numbers you may impact the time & friendships in real life. There is nothing better or more beautiful than being your true authentic self & you are worth so much more than followers & likes
