12.01.2022 International Women's Day and what this day represents means alot to me. I've taken time these past few days to recognise and celebrate all of the incredible women in my life there's a lot of you! (family, friends, colleagues, mothers, daughters, sisters) for their incredible character, achievements and accomplishments. I've also taken time to acknowledge and honour myself / my character. Coming from a place of self love, self awareness and respect, I am proud of the woma...n that I am today, and am proud of the ways in which I; Hold myself Challenge limiting beliefs / shift mindset Call out inequality Stand up for my rights Own my voice and speak openly Speak up and question things when something is not right or fair, regardless of the discomfort that this may cause (and not feeling apologetic about doing so) Create change Trust my instinct Honour my self worth Respect my boundaries Increase visibility Am independent, strong and resilient, despite the turbulence and emotional / psychological abuse Ask for support from others, and allow myself to be held when I don't feel strong Give myself full permission to rest and feel everything, without judgement Live alone and support myself Endure difficult times and come out the other side stronger, wiser and more aware Stay true to my integrity Create and embrace joy amongst the chaos Show up for others who need emotional support And above all else, I'm a kind, honest and respectful human being. No matter what your gender identity is, everybody deserves to feel great/empowered. I hope that you can take some time today (or any other day) to appreciate and celebrate yourself and your achievements, no matter how small or insignificant you perceive them to be / however you define your success.
