23.01.2022 'Milk 01' (Jökull) Limited Edition Fine Art Available Framed or Unframed This is one of my favourites images from this series. You're looking at a glacial outwash plain from an aerial perspective, where the glacial meltwater is mixing with sediments and materials (such as silt) and black volcanic sand. Damn, nature is mind-blowing!... Jökull, which is Icelandic for ‘glacier’ is a photographic journey to unearth the etherial and barren lands of Iceland. Printed by @peter_hatzipavlis @theprintshop_psc Framed by @finiframes Interiors / Styling @mosinteriors Interior Photography & Art @maegan_kb https://maegankb.com/store/jokull-milk-01 If you'd like this piece hanging on your wall x . . . . . #melbournecontemporaryart #photographicartists #wallartprints #framedartprints #landscapephotography #interiorphotography #melbourneinteriors #artworkfeatures #glacialriverphotography #abstractartist #abstractphotography #melbourneart #australianartist #travelphotography #palepalmcollection #todaysartreport #abstractphotoart #abstract_photography #beautifulearth #visualsofearth #canonphotography #canon_photos #roamtheplanet #somewheremagazine #weltraumzine #interiorstyling #melbourneartist #aerialphotography #melbournephotographer #melbournedesign
23.01.2022 Chaos and calm existing in balance. With so much uncertainty and change happening all over the world, it's important to tune into and cultivate our inner world. Although we cannot choose or control our external circumstances or environment, we can choose how we respond to them.... We can choose to maintain balance and calm in our internal world, amid the disruption and upheaval of our external world. The chaos still exists externally, but we can choose to acknowledge and meet that chaos with healthy boundaries and shift how we relate/react to the turmoil. To not allow our external conditions mirror our internal conditions. X @ Jökulsárlón, Iceland

20.01.2022 This was one of the most magnificent sights I have ever experienced, and probably ever will see. Witnessing this astronomical phenomena dancing across the arctic night sky was absolutely surreal and pure magic. It started off looking like faint wispy clouds lit by moonlight, subtly growing into bands of aqua blue and emerald green ribbons between the starts. Colours gradually glowing and smoothly flowing like a flame. Purple, then yellow, then back to blue and green. ... As it grew in intensity and dominated the sky, shapes and patterns started to form in slithering swirls, rivers and curtains. Like velvet drapes suspended in the sky, flowing with the wind. Streaks of light danced alone but together in a row, descending to Earth, like an army of burning matchsticks standing upright in a dominos line. If I wasn't already blown away, movement got faster, more charged and more alive. After 45 minutes of intense activity, it gently softened and faded away. I was standing outside with the elements the whole time, next to my camera with my jaw on the floor. Not once did I feel the cold at all during that display. It felt like I had just stopped being in my body and connected with whatever was happening above. Overwhelmed with feeling pure awe and appreciation for what I was witnessing. Then, as soon as it finished, I felt the ABSOLUTELY freezing cold wind rush through my nose and mouth. My fingers and face went numb, then stung with electric burning heat. Reliving these incredible moments still takes my breath away and makes me feel so, so alive. Aurora Borealis over Unstad beach // Lofoten Islands, Norway See more

11.01.2022 This photograph symbolises a lot of things of me. It shows water in two states: ice (solid) and water (liquid). Although these states appear as completely different forms, its molecular structure is (and always stays) the same. A symbol of adaptability, growth and change. Transformation, metamorphosis, death and rebirth.... Reflection, renewal, cleansing and healing. It represents strength, wisdom, power, stability and resilience. It also, at the same time, represents balance, softness, gentleness, flexibility, fluidity, movement, beauty, grace and calm. We are all made of water, constantly changing and taking on different forms. We embody and express different aspects and depths of our psyche. I have a soft, sensitive, gentle, sweet, kind, caring, nurturing, calm, quiet, gooey, watery side. But I also have a loud, crazy, wild, sassy, outgoing, strong-willed, resilient, fiery warrior, determined, serious, straight shooting side. Much like water, we are multifaceted. This photograph reminded me that emotions are energy in motion. Be like water and practice the art of detachment, as Bruce Lee said. We can change our mental and emotional state by adopting the qualities and nature of water; by being flexible, adaptable, allowing flow and being open to change. Sensations and feelings are felt and experienced in our bodies, which we can shift and release through movement and breath. Let this image serve as a beautiful reminder that things will pass, nothing is permanent and everything is transient. Xx @ Jökulsárlón, Iceland
